This is a HEART BREAKING situation that has happened to us and I totally I feel VERY CERTAIN that…read morethis Happened at VANITY FUR. WE have used them for years we have 2 little ones that we have taken them to for a very long time. We took Teddy our Pom to them on the 21st of August 20023 for grooming we picked him up the same day. We noticed the next day that Teddy could not stand for a very long time and he would sit down and have a hard time to stand back up we could not understand what was going on. We made him an appointment with The Ark on the 29th. We took him there and they done no x-rays or anything just gave him some meds to take and said his joints were out of place we gave it to him for 12 days he did not get better he got worse. We took him to All Creatures VET CENTER in Millbrook they were a lot more concerned about Teddy's condition as far as why he could not stand or walk. They took X-Rays and None of his Joints were out at all but one thing it did show was that he had 2 disk in his back were pinched at the top like his back had been pushed down and it caused the 2 disk too close up at the top causing the nerves to be pinched so his lower part of his body was not getting any control so he could walk or stand . It looked as if he had been hit on the top of his back and it cause the vertebrae's to collapse. Before Teddy went to be Groomed he was FINE and then this happened . The Doctor has him on Steroids hopefully to reduce the swelling of the disk if this does not work he said he may have to have Surgery on his spine and it could cost several Thousand dollars. MY question is how can you take your pet to be groomed and he is doing great and then this happens or shows up for NO REASON AT ALL . We have been in contact with Vanity Fur but NO RESPONSE FROM THE OWNER AT ALL. My Wife's Heart is Broken because Teddy is her Baby and I am Fit to be Tied with this

She actually comes over and spends time with your animals before taking you on as a client. She wants to not only gain another customer, but make sure it's a good fit. Our various dogs over the years have grown so attached to her and her staff that they don't seem to have missed us all that much on our return. They also do all the things I'd do if I was home such as check mail and open and close blinds or turn lamps on and off. You can leave instructions as to what you'd like done on the visits. I don't recommend anyone else in the Montgomery area! They handle it all: dogs and cats but also Guinea pigs, hamsters and horses. No animal too big or too small. We are so glad we found this business and we don't dread going out of town and having our animals kenneled and anxious anymore.

Before, she was unable to be near other dogs, couldn't let her off leash unless we were completely alone, and constantly worried about her in public.
