They didn't make any effort to contact a manager, research it online, or check whether such services existed within their company or affiliates. If I have to do all the research myself, I might as well do business with myself! It turns out this service has actually existed since 2012 through Royal Bank Georgia. I suggest updating staff training and product knowledge. Thanks to AI technology, I was able to find the information on my own--and I'm now a very happy customer.

Need a Loan Officer Who Gets It? Call Paul Marshall…read more Buying a home is stressful enough, but when you're using a specialized program like City National Bank's Ladder Up, you need a loan officer who knows how to navigate the process, advocate for you, and keep things moving. That's exactly what I found in Paul Marshall. The Ladder Up Program is designed to increase Black and Brown homeownership, especially in communities where those groups are the majority. It's a powerful resource, and I'm grateful it exists. But like any program with grants and specialized requirements, it takes patience, persistence, and someone who understands the process inside and out--that's where Paul came in. From the moment I started, Paul handled my loan with urgency, care, and a level of professionalism that made all the difference. He wasn't just doing paperwork--he was actively advocating for me, making sure my loan didn't get stuck in the process. And let me tell you, this wasn't an easy timeline. I started without a preapproval, and Thanksgiving and Christmas both landed right in the middle of my escrow period. That alone could have pushed things into the new year, but Paul stayed on top of every detail, ensuring we closed in just 40 days while securing the maximum Ladder Up grant award. What really stood out was Paul's ability to reassure and problem-solve when things felt overwhelming. He understood the unique dynamics of my transaction--where both the buyer and seller came from the same historically underserved community--and handled everything with the cultural awareness and dedication this kind of work requires. If you're considering homeownership and want a loan officer who will fight for you, guide you, and get you to the finish line, Paul Marshall at City National Bank is the one you want on your team. I can't recommend him enough!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Farmers & Merchants Bank on PCH near Riviera Village in Redondo Beach!…read more I used them during my Mayoral campaign after a friend referred me--they had the best deal for campaign accounts and truly outstanding, personal service. When I recently closed the account, the VP/Branch Manager gave me a warm wave on his way into a meeting. You cannot obtain phone numbers, email addresses to other departments like Fraud, Investigation and Risk management. Highly frustrating So Top Secret, Why????Also, fraud was committed on my account. Close to 2,000.00 of fraud. I caught it and had a very, very difficult time getting my money. Now Kinetic is denying me an ATM card because of the fraud situation. It seems because someone stole. from us, we can be at risk for more fraudulent activity so in other words instead of us being considered victims we are a risk all because Kinecta had to replace the stolen funds from our account. Isn't your financial institution there to protect and defend your money? Not in this case. Fraud is like an epidemic, unfortunately. Imagine if all Kinecta members were at some point robbed of their hard earned money and they were denied an ATM card with which we all use to pay bills, Many Kinecta members would withdraw their business from this credit union. Pretty sure it would eventually fail. We are highly disappointed with this financial establishment. BEWARE and stay on top of your banking accounts.Half a star of that. Mrs. Gracia

I went to this bank today with my dad because we were hoping to open a new bank account. When we…read morearrived, there weren't many people waiting, so we thought we would be attended to fairly quickly. We did not have an appointment because a few days earlier, we had spoken with a banker at the El Segundo location who told us that an appointment was not necessary to open a new account, although there could be a short wait. Unfortunately, our experience at the Torrance Sartori location was not very welcoming. I'm not sure if the gentleman assisting customers was the manager, but his customer service did not leave the best impression. He seemed very overwhelmed and, in my opinion, was not very friendly or approachable. At one point, several customers went to let him know that the ATMs inside were not working, and his responses did not sound very polite. I even noticed one woman walk away rolling her eyes and shaking her head after speaking with him, which made me feel like we weren't the only ones who were having an unpleasant experience. Around noon, he came over to "update" us and explained that we most likely would not be seen because customers with appointments had priority. We completely understand that appointments take priority, and we were willing to wait. However, he then continued explaining that he needed to take his lunch and that he was booked for the rest of the day. At that point, we decided to leave and went to a different branch in Hawthorne. Thankfully, our experience there was completely different. We were helped right away by Ms. Cindi Valdivia, who was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. She went out of her way to make my dad feel comfortable while helping him open his new account. She even offered my toddler crayons and drawing paper to keep him entertained while she assisted us, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. Afterward, another banker at the Hawthorne branch asked me how my day was going. I explained what had happened at the Torrance Sartori location, and they told me that, from their understanding, someone trying to open a brand-new bank account should generally be given priority and that they weren't sure why we had been treated that way. Overall, I really appreciate the wonderful customer service we received from Ms. Cindi Valdivia and the other staff at the Hawthorne branch. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the Torrance Sartori location. The experience felt very unwelcoming and frustrating, especially when we were simply trying to open a new account. I will consider speaking with the person who handles management changes/transfers because I feel this experience should be brought to someone's attention. I hope the Torrance Sartori branch can improve its customer service and make customers feel more welcomed in the future. I did not catch the name of the guy that gave me a headache but he was short latino not on the heavy side but not on the skinner side either.
