I knew Mindy Garfinkle had done some great photography work for my company pre covid so I emailed her. She immediately responded she was free and was comfortable with distance photography at an event...and was reasonably priced. Hired! As the event approached I got nervous about the weather forecast and moved it to the following night. Mindy was super flexible and said no problem. The silver lining of planning a party during a pandemic is that all vendors were available on a Sat night in August, which we know is not usually the case. Mindy showed up right on time and got to work snapping photos. She got action photos and did small groups as well, but kept in mind all safety measures when it comes to covid. We would laugh every time someone made the comment "why am i smiling with a mask on?" which she said she tends to hear with every picture lately. The party was on Saturday and I had all the pics by Thursday. She did an amazing job documenting it all. I would definitely hire her for future events and even family photos, which I should probably get around to planning. If anyone is nervous about hiring a photographer during this time you can rest assure knowing this is a photographer who's doing her job while putting safety first.

They are very talented and made our wedding very special and easy. They had a whole schedule figured out about where they would be and when and were very timely. It was pretty much just having someone video tape the whole day for you :) They also did a great job at blending in and not making it seem like a production. Not only this, but a lot of places in Chicago charge you outrageous prices for videography or photography. Kat and Asa were much more reasonable and I think their work is much better! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants videography or photography for your wedding. Don't look anywhere else!
