Granted, much of this vintage stock is designer and some of it is quite beautiful. Occasionally the staff here are willing to bring the prices down too, although even at Eva's discounted rate many of these dresses are priced far higher than I'm prepared to pay for second hand clothing. They used to have a Leichhardt contingent which sold the nicer of their dresses at far cheaper prices (I never really understood this) but now it seems that the two have merged into the one over priced shop. Come here for a nice glomesh purse - that is, after you've already checked Glebe and Rozelle markets.

The stores stocks dresses for all occasions - the races, a wedding, lunch, work or a night out. The buyer for this store is obviously very, very clever. The girls who work in the store are incredibly helpful and friendly - I told them of the occasion I needed the dress for, and they came back to me with a range of options; so nice! The prices are reasonable - less than $60 for a day dress, and most of the stock comes in at less than $100. I suggest that instead of wearing the same Glassons/Sportsgirl number everyone else is, go to Saffron Road and fall in love with something original.

Try as I might, I could not find a single pair of pants, a skirt, or a top that I truly liked. Which is a damn shame, really. I would love to buy from a store that proudly professes to be environmentally friendly and sustainable. The saving grace, of course, is their collection of bags. Mostly tote bags, and we know how much I love totes. They're made of hemp, mostly, and they look rough and hand-woven (even if they're not really), which is a look that I quite enjoy. Sadly my regular dentist, Dr Ivor Epstein, is retiring but he has hired a team that are as excellent as he is. Everybody is professional, patient and honest. I recently had a filling and I was reluctant to have an anesthetic. My dentist was totally understanding and she patiently tried to perform the procedure without causing me any pain. When it looked like an anesthetic was unavoidable she explained she would only use half the dose so it would wear off quickly. I felt in very safe hands here - I wouldn't visit anywhere else. Highly recommended.
