This is an area in downtown Chattanooga that has art, bed & breakfasts, and gardens. The city is made up of a microcosm of various compartmentalized zones. We took a pretty sweet walk here. We wanted to see what this particular area was all about. There is so much rich history in our city. There was not much going on, as most businesses are still closed in this part of the city. We did take a walk through their lovely gardens, of which I've attached pics. There were many fruit trees, vegetables, flowers and herbs proliferating a large area of space. Highly recommend not to come during the hottest part of the day in summer. We were there around 2pm on a steamy summer day. A beautiful area with more to explore at a later date.

This is one of my favorite places in the downtown Chattanooga area. Lots of great public art and art installations all in a nicky walkable area. Located partially on the Riverfront area, so much to see! Be sure to check out many of the cool shops, and restaurants along the way. Easily a nice afternoon or evening out in the town. Oh! Also great puppy watching too! Chattanoogains love their dogs!

Public Art and a beautiful sky.

There are a 100 reasons to love Chattanooga. This location is at least 10 of them all by itself. So close to downtown yet just far enough away that an uninformed tourist would completely miss out on it. It requires a visit not just multiple times because of all it offers (art shops, coffee shop, fine dining, bakery, etc), but also because it should be experienced during the day, at night, and in multiple seasons. The outdoor art and seating, the views of the river, and feeling of a village within a major city all make this beautiful place to get away. You are right next to the Hunter Museum of Art as well. Oh, planning to visit soon? They have their own Bed & Breakfast. Yeah, it's just that amazing. So hurry and see it for yourself soon. *Insider's Tip -This is a good place to park for the Hunter Museum and Walking Bridge, as both are less than a 5 minute walk way. -Bike rentals are at the entrance of the District, in case you feel walking is too slow paced.

Bluff View Art District sits atop a hill overlooking the Tennessee River. It is definitely scenic, with some cool businesses clustered in the same area. There is a central parking lot that connects all of the businesses. There are some art galleries, a sculpture garden, a few cafes/restaurants and the bakery. Each building is kind of a work of art in itself. The buildings all look very historic yet well kept. The architecture is interesting and unique for sure. Although it's a small area there's some great places to visit. It's only a few minutes drive from the aquarium and the central area of downtown. I would definitely come back as it seems to be a gem of Chattanooga!

Nice views of the river, biking and walking paths.

This is a great area for not only seeing art but also for walking, biking, and eating. In this area, you can see beautiful views of downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee River, and the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge. For your convenience, there is a parking lot near the Bluff View Bakery. I stopped in the bakery and bought a loaf of their delicious Cranberry Walnut Boule and was able to munch on it while I walked. Also in this area is a walking/biking path. Across the street from the bakery is the River Gallery Sculpture garden which is worth taking a stroll through. Just up the hill and around the corner is the Back Inn Cafe. Stop in and have dinner and enjoy views of the Tennessee River

How absolutely gorgeous! I needed to kill an hour before going to Back Inn Cafe for an early dinner so I decided to walk around the area and see what I could see. My first stop was the beautiful sculpture garden near the river and I strolled to each one and studied them. I next went over to the Bluff View Overlook over the river where there's a plaque telling the history of Chattanooga Island and how there used to be a pulley system between the mainland and the Island. I didn't go into the museums, art gallery, or the other shops but just checking out the outdoor art was enough for me to take in, like a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Everyone should go check it out.

This is kind of a Arts and Entertainment category I think. It is mostly outside where you have a sculpture garden, a paved walking trail with outdoor art, Bluff View Inn which is a bed a breakfast and a River Gallery. Down the trail, which goes through it, you can walk your dog or go jogging. Bluff View art district. It is sort of a beautiful small spot not including the walking trail.

Wonderful free parking on the side street if you want to walk on the Riverwalk. Love having a coffee at Rembrandt's afterward.

Down right disappointing from a hotel chain we use most of the times when traveling. Our journey back we will avoid the establishment at all costs.
