We checked into our room and I immediately searched for the remotes to wipe them down because I am one of those people who has OCD and carries Clorox wipes everywhere. Well, the bedroom remote was missing so we went downstairs to ask for a replacement. We were given another but unfortunately it did not work on the tv. We went downstairs and asked if we could just swap out rooms since we hadn't touched anything. The Manager (Ami) was quick to accommodate us and said she had a great room for us. When we walked into the new room my husband and I immediately stopped and looked at each other and had to laugh because it was stunning! She upgraded our room to the Suite and it was so beyond amazing. Thank you Ami for the outstanding customer service and making our stay so much more enjoyable.

My stay at the Bluemont Hotel was WONDERFUL! The staff was friendly and informative when I called him prior to my trip and again at check-in. My room was clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. The refrigerator would not cool, but I was only staying for one night so that wasn't of other importance. They did offer to send someone up to look at it, but since I was getting ready for bed, I told him not to bother. The bar staff and patrons were friendly and fun. And the free breakfast was above average. I'm a K State alum, and therefore truly appreciated the purple themed decor. The artwork in the lobby and walkways was definitely worth taking a look at. I don't know when I'll have a chance to go back to Manhattan, but I would definitely love to be able to stay at the Bluemont hotel again .

The hotel advertises enhanced cleaning due to COVID-19. I found ladies underwear behind the bed side table. I pulled it away from the wall so I could plug in my phone charger. I guess enhanced cleaning does not include checking for underwear left behind. The breakfast buffet was actually quite good.

Someone left their underwear behind! Yuck!

During the time of the pandemic I expect hotels to be extra careful with cleanliness. We arrived late (after 10:00 pm), unpacked our things and I noticed a candy wrapper on the floor. Next I found a hairpin on the chair and another on the carpet. The worst thing was finding frilly undergarments sticking out from behind the nightstand! We will not be returning here'

First time staying here and so far so good. This place is close to Aggie Ville, has great rooms, great service, and a amazing bar. When staying in Manhattan and need a place by the party area then you should stay here. They offer a lot!!!

My husband and I stayed here last weekend when we were in town for one night, and the Bluemont will definitely be our preferred hotel for our next visit! Since we are both K-State alumni, we were very eager to stay here since the Bluemont was built shortly after we graduated. Upon arriving, we were pleased to find that the parking garage is easy to access and we felt safe leaving our car there overnight. The proximity to Aggieville can't be beat - a quick 5-minute walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars. As for the room, we were shocked to find how spacious it was! Our king room had a lovely view of campus and plenty of space for the two of us (it also had a couch that I assume could be utilized as a fold-out bed). As for the rest of the hotel, everything is modern and nice looking. On our way out we stopped by the indoor pool to peek inside - it looked really clean and nice. The morning before we checked out, we headed downstairs for the complimentary breakfast and WOW. Pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheese, biscuits and gravy, canadian bacon, oatmeal, bagels, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, juice... I've experienced quite a few hotel breakfasts in my lifetime and this one was top 5 for sure! The only reason I docked one star is because their rooftop bar is only open on Wednesdays and Thursdays! It was 70 degrees when we were in town and we would've loved to enjoy a cocktail on the roof. Other than that, the Bluemont Hotel surpassed my expectations.

My opinion: Loud. Overpriced. Comparable to mid to low rated hotels. Not the best customer service for the price.

As Wichita DJ Professionals, we appreciate venues that combine education, atmosphere, and flexible event potential--and this location delivers all three in a very unique way. The building itself is modern, clean, and well-designed, with large open interior spaces, interactive exhibits, and an immersive theater that immediately sets the tone for a memorable guest experience. It's not just a museum--it's an environment that encourages exploration, conversation, and connection, which translates really well for private events, corporate gatherings, and special functions. From an entertainment standpoint, the layout works surprisingly well for hosted events. The open gathering areas allow for smooth guest flow, cocktail-style networking, and transitions into presentations or celebration portions of the night. Lighting and acoustics are controlled and polished, which helps when bringing in DJ services, sound systems, and Photo Booth setups without feeling overwhelming in the space. The staff and event coordination team are also a major plus. They are organized, professional, and experienced in handling public and private events, which helps everything run smoothly from setup through teardown. That level of coordination makes a big difference when managing entertainment timelines and guest experience. Overall, Flint Hills Discovery Center is a standout venue in Manhattan for anyone looking for a space that blends culture, modern design, and strong event functionality. The menu was horrifically expensive food-wise, but I am grateful for the fact they filled my friend's water bottle with water free of charge. I watched some ads go by for the bowling alley and having to pay 55 dollars PER LANE to bowl is just genuinely insane in my opinion, but hey! What do I know?
