They wanted me to move my daughter down a level but I am unable to take her that day. So the teacher called me and was extremely rude and even said "if I have to put in the effort to come to work then you can put in the effort to take your daughter to class". After this call my daughter told me "how can I return if the teacher doesn't want me in her class". Dance should be done for the love of dance, the children do their best and practice because they love it , they don't need to feel humiliated to belittled. The teachers should be better educated on how to deal with children and have as good of a understanding for child psychology as they do for dance.

Miss Bell is loved by all her students, which have succeeded to scholarships at the National Ballet in Winnepeg and Julliard in NY. The year end performance is also a spectacular showing of talent which the kids perform full ballet ensembles and musicals at the Living Arts Centre. Some performances include Swan Lake, Mama Mia and Glee.

For the sake of brevity I won't detail each one. But I can tell you calling my child a clown (when she laughed loudly at something), telling a 3 year old "no coughing" when she coughed under her masked after running around for a a full song (and likely needed water and was definitely not sick) is inappropriate. The last straw was rudely interrupting me with "CUT THE CAMERA!!" to lecture me on the vaccination rules when I had been by the window for maybe 30 seconds, had my vax proof ready, and was not violating any rules. Worst yet, I didn't observe other families being harassed or spoken down to week after week. Could it have something to do with the fact that my child was the only black child in class??? Lori is rude , terrible at dealing with humans (both adults and little kids) and is on on some delusional power trip. I'm not spending my money to be treated that way. Parents beware!!!

Ditto to Bernie C.'s review below…read more I took group classes with Mark and Natalie and they were amazing! They will even dance with you at the socials to ensure that you're doing the moves correctly and, most importantly, having fun. I would have continued the classes except there are more females than males so the school asks level 2 and above males to come in and volunteer. Dancing with some of them that were only at level 2 was more of a hindrance because they barely knew the steps themselves. Also, some of the male participants really needed to practice personal hygiene. My biggest turnoff, however, was Roger (an instructor in training). He would get really impatient and even kind of rough with us. I basically refused to dance with him during the classes. He should NOT be teaching anything with his attitude - can't stand that guy. I was going to give it three stars but then I thought of how great Mark, Natalie and Natalie's husband were.

I've taken a few group classes here and also attended their monthly socials. They usually hold…read moretheir classes at a Royal Canadian Legion, so while they don't necessarily have their own studio/facility, the Legion rooms are quite big and have different floors so they can accommodate multiple classes at the same time. Their specialties appear to be in the Latin styles (hence the name), which includes salsa, bachata and cha-cha but they also do tango and kizomba as well. I have also attended their monthly social which seemed to be around 60% salsa and 40% bachata and cover is usually $15, which includes lessons for beginner and intermediate dancers. Their socials are held at another Royal Canadian Legion which is located right next to the Long Branch GO station. The socials go on for 4-5 hours with about 15-20 minutes of performances by their students and some pro dancers. The dancers were really good. Most of the people attending the social/party were friendly and were there to dance and not too many players/flirtatious people. I find that certain places that offer "Latin" dancing are more club-like as opposed to just learning to dance and have fun. All in all, I thought the party/social was fun and members were friendly. Will probably go again and might take some classes here.
