only reason I stopped here is because it was on my way home. Selection and prices are great, however the customer service is horrific. I asked the cashier if they sold a certain beer and he said, I wouldn't know I dont drink that. And then seemed to rush through the sale in a rude manner. apparently if he doesn't drink what you want he isnt knowledgeable about it even though he works in a liquor store?!? This place is fantastic. Everyone has always been very nice and personable, and the decor is warm and welcoming. This wonderful beverage haven always has exactly what I'm looking for, even some of the most obscure of things. It looks small, but it isn't, and they have a ton of options and are very well organized and reasonably priced. They also have a great little section with mixers, garnishes, and barware. They have pretty much everything you need to make nearly any drink imaginable. This is by far my favorite wine & liquor store in Hendersonville, probably my favorite in Sumner County or even the Nashville area. It's large with wide aisles, clean, plenty of parking, easy in and out access, and most importantly plenty of selections with fair prices. The scotch and bourbon options are particularly nice though so is the vodka, wine and every other spirit. No prices are gouged as far as I can tell and you can even get some pretty cheap deals on larger bottles quite often. The beer and wine selection is great and they even keep a few quality craft brews on tap so you can grab a growler and do that if it's your thing. Once I was charged for a growler even though I brought it in and had paid for it previously but didn't catch it till I got home. They took my word for it and filled me up a free brew next time I was in so I certainly can't complain about the customer service as it's always been friendly and efficient for me. The mixers and "grocery" items are a bit pricey for what they are and the cigar selection is not superb but what they do have is fairly priced and quality (though just take your stogie business to the Smoky Cigar down the road if you want selection in that regard). read more

Hendersonville is a glorious, beautiful and wonderful place to live or to visit. And while we are still a bedroom community of Nashville, we dont lack in some areas. Quality liquor stores we dont have, but quality liquor store (singular), we got. As always, I cannot comment on Bluegrass' selection of wines or cognacs or liqueurs, but they have one heck of a bourbon selection. From their own barrels of Buffalo Trace to a large quantity of the Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Series, their selection of bourbons always finds a way to tempt me into buying something I normally give an extra star to places in Hendersonville, but Bluegrass earns 5 stars all by itself.. read more

They have a good selection, but I usually choose the other liquor/wine shops due to the poor service at bluegrass beverages. Multiple times I have asked a question about wine or beer and received either little help or an attitude, as if I was bothering them. You would think with the increased competition in town they would try to be on their game. read more

Bluegrass Beverages is OK. Their selection is alright and the prices aren't bad. But I really prefer Pour Vous in Hendersonville for selection and helpfulness of the staff. And I know it's weird, but I really find myself annoyed at businesses that feel the need to have an entrance on one side of the shop and the exit on the other side. This is a good store. Good prices, good selection, clean store. What this store lacks in is customer service. I've been shopping here for greater than five years. I enjoy wine and buy several bottles at a time and don't think I have EVER had a cashier say thank you. This week there was someone new at the register. I intentionally went to him with multiple bottles of wine. His response at checkout? "Have a good one". It's a shame that a store of this caliber lacks so greatly in a simple thank you. read more

have shopped at Bluegrass for several years now and I feel the need to let others know how they run their business. The employees of this store feel the need to profile younger looking consumers irregardless of their actions inside the store. 2 younger gentlemen entered the store before myself and my wife and the employee behind the counter told a patron "I would be better if trash like that didn't come in my store" while he was pointing in their direction. When I went to purchase my beverages, he asked to see my ID and my wife's ID since she was with me (He did not ask the previous 3 customers in line in front of me to either see their ID or the people that were with them). I did not have a problem with checking my ID since it is the law, but the person I am with's ID seemed a bit strange, but I obliged. While we were waiting for my wife to return from the car with her ID, he asked to see 2 other people's ID's who I had been talking to in the store who were not purchasing anything and were not with me prior to letting me pruchase my stuff. It was blatant profiling of me because I was a younger male (early 30's). I asked about this policy and was told it was a house policy yet I was the only customer he pulled this house policy out for. I felt patronized and profiled. I will never shop at Bluegrass Beverages ever again. I will drive the extra miles to visit another store. read more
