The "Vet" was cold and bordered on rude lacking any form of empathy toward our pets. The Microchip she placed in one of my dogs was sticking out of it's skin this morning, the area surrounding it was red and swollen. My husband had to pull it the rest of the way out with tweezers. I just hope that all the other pets that were Micro-chiped by this same "Vet" -- Saturday, April 9, 2013, Gull Road, Kalamazoo, Michigan -- are not experiencing this problem. I would hate to think their owners have no clue that the chip has fallen out. After this experience, I have come to appreciate my wonderful Vet in Paw Paw, MI more than ever. UPDATE: When this was posted, I was contacted by VIP management within a couple of hours. I have to say, EXCELLENT, customer service and followup. They are just starting up in MI with the clinics and were not pleased with this complaint. In speaking with Heather, she made it clear that this is NOT their expectation by any means. They wanted all details, apologized over and over again, reimbursed me and sent me certificates should I try them again in the future. I may just do that down the road. I arrived at 10:03 (Apple watch time) The door was locked. Drop off time was 10:00. The manager said he could not keep his employees a minute past 10:00. HE could have accepted the dogs! What if I had been trying to catch a plane in Grand Rapids?. Good luck to this business!! I won't be back!! Before this incident I would have given . I appreciated the dogs being able to socialize with other dogs. If these people send employees home at a precise time , lock up and don't take dogs that are late even when life happens and a client calls to say they will be late, what do they do if they haven't finished feeding or cleaning up after the dogs? This incident was caused by the managers difficulty with being flexible! Customers don't come first! Hope they get this reworked! Prior to this I told friends that it was a good place!!
