Upscale tavern with elevated bar food…read more Wings with Alabama white bbq sauce. Petite wings with a tangy white sauce. Excellent. Chopped salad - a variety of mixed greens and veggies well chopped. Nicely prepared. Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos - 3 tacos with large chunks of fresh Mahi Mahi. Garnished with red cabbage slaw and guac. Served with a side of rice. Top notch fish tacos that I highly recommend. The exterior is adorned with beautiful plants and flowers. The interior is bright and contemporary with a farmhouse vibe. Plus plenty of perfectly positioned screens to watch your favorite game. The service was on point for the most part. Our server was great but I think he was working too many tables bye himself so we kinda missed the opportunity to order a second round of drinks. We are definitely adding Black Rabbit to our regular rotation. Give it a try.

Great Food, Friendly Service, and Reasonable Prices!…read more We visited Black Rabbit Saloon yesterday with a group of four adults and one child, and we had a great experience! The restaurant was very clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. We ordered cheeseburgers, a chicken sandwich, steak, and a few appetizers. Overall, the food was good, and the prices were very reasonable. We also appreciated how friendly the staff was, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a clean place with good food, great service, and reasonable prices. We enjoyed our visit!!

Tap and Growler Bar & Grill - Chupacabra Wings

Looking for the best wings in the area? Look no further! Tap and Growler is your local corner bar…read morethat makes the best wings with the biggest variety of flavors, hands down. Always cooked crispy to perfection without having to specify, which is how it should be. No stretchy chicken skin or rubbery meat found here! Each time we visit, we get three orders of wings to split and usually another sauce or two on the side to try. We really enjoy the dry rubs and they don't skimp on the seasoning either. There's always plenty floating in the bottom of the basket for extra dipping. I couldn't go through all the wing flavors we've had since that would take quite some time, but you should definitely try the Chupacabra and squeeze the lime. The sweet potato fries with Chipotle aioli are definitely worth getting too. Just a heads up, this place can get REAL busy during peak times (ie: Friday and Saturday night), so plan your visit accordingly. There are usually 1-2 bartenders who are also acting as servers, so it may take a few extra minutes, but it is well worth the wait. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. TLDR: Great local bar serving up the best wings in town. Give them a few extra minutes to serve you if you show up on a Friday or Saturday

Last Saturday night, I went out to Kc's Korner in South Plainfield to check out a friend's band…read morethat was playing live music out on the Patio. This was my first time at Kc's Korner, and the overall experience left me with a good impression. Like the other reviewers say here, it's a great neighborhood bar! We were a party of three. After parking in the private lot, we entered Kc's from the patio entrance in the back. We were greeted by a hosts. I think he first wanted to bring us inside, but then my friend told him we were there for the music on the patio. We ordered food. My vegetarian husband and our vegan friend both went with plain quesadillas (just with the veggies) and non-alcoholic drinks. I went all-in and ordered a Kc's Classic Smash Burger with fries, and a side of onion rings (which my hubs and I ended up sharing). My friend and husband said the quesadillas were good. My hubs said it was better than he expected being a bar and all. The onion rings were really good - tasty batter and fried perfectly. My smash burger was fantastic - hit the spot. I saw that the Patio drink menu had Surfside and Suncruiser canned drinks. I asked our bartender what she thought. She was cool and gave me her take on them. I appreciated that she chatted with me and gave honest input. So I ordered them here for the first time, and they are pretty good! That night, it looked like only 3 people were working the front of the house, so they were busy, but they were on it and were still friendly and outgoing. The place really has a good vibe. Again, great neighborhood bar!

I like the fact that they had blue moon on tap and not in bottles.. price was reasonable . Got a fried pickle, which was OK... overall a good experience . 4 stars .

Great irish pub. Traditional dark pub ambience. Plenty of seating. Nice food and drink menu…read more Service was good- we were there around bit early for dinner so it wasn't busy. We had the fried pickles which were so good - the batter was light and not greasy. Also got the soda bread which was good but a tad dry (almost like a scone more than bread). The Jameson marmalade that came with it was more of a dipping sauce than a spreadable marmalade but it was tasty. We got a side salad and the potato leek soup which was good. We shared the Guinness chicken for our entree and the kitchen kindly split the entree before bringing it to the table which we really appreciated. It was excellent. Ran out of room so no dessert. We'll be back if we are in the area again. Parking can be tough depending on timing.

I noticed AFTER we ordered that there was a cocktail special that night. Our waitress never mentioned any specials, so I tried to flag her down after I had already ordered a different one not on the list. I mentioned to the hostess what I needed, and I hung out waiting for our waitress at the front. After waiting at least 15 min for her to show up from the back, I was able to ask her to change my drink order. The food here is FABULOUS. We got the housemade Irish soda bread and it was amazing. Hubby got the shepherd's pie and it was delicious. I got the lamb chops over asparagus and mashed potatoes and it was FANTASTIC ! I don't know if our waitress was new or what, but our meals were delivered without silverware. We waited several minutes, then finally flagged down another waitress so that we could eat ! If it wasn't for the poor service, this place could easily be 5 stars due to the fabulous food. Thankfully we got out of there before the live music started, loud music is not our vibe. At the very end of the meal, somehow my original drink order made an appearance (that's what I was afraid of, that she didn't cancel the order). The folks at the table next to us ordered the exact same cocktail, so when the bar tried to give it to us, the waitress told them to give it to the table next to us instead. Geez, we were already paying for our meal at the time. Lol The manager did come out and the end of the meal to ask how things were. I did mention I thought our waitress might be new. I didn't get an answer as to if she was, but I posed it more as a statement than a question.

We sat at the bar, which was about half full around lunch time and were greeted swiftly and offered menus. We ordered fried cheese curds to start, which were fantastic. The portion of marinara was small, but it was no trouble for us to get a second cup. For the dogs, I got the Kansas City Beefs which has pulled pork and coleslaw. My girlfriend got the Guten Dog which is a German style brat with sauerkraut on a pretzel bun. I upgraded my bun to the pretzel too. We both enjoyed our dogs and would love to try some more. They are high-quality and not super salty like many grocery store varieties. The pretzel bun was a real treat! I arrived in New Brunswick by train, which is to say I trusted the machinery of civilization to…read moredeliver me to lunch. It did. A short walk later, I found myself at Destination Dogs, a place I had seen in photographs that suggested capaciousness. In reality, it is smaller.  This is not a complaint, just an observation.  I remember once hearing something about the contents of small packages. At 12:30 the place was full. Packed with humanity and appetite. I was seated quickly, as if someone had anticipated my hunger in advance. From the bar came the sound of construction crews discussing their midday rituals. Apparently this is where they come on Fridays, to repair themselves while they repair the city. It explained everything. Service was swift and attentive, a minor miracle given the crowd. I began with a Scotch egg, an item that seemed to have wandered in from another story entirely. I ordered it for that reason. I had always imagined my first Scotch egg would be eaten in an English pub under low ceilings and older regrets. Instead, here it was. Perfectly crisp, warm, and generous. The universe does not ask for permission. Then came the main event. The menu is an atlas of hot dogs. Domestic. International. Proteins in tube form arranged like possibilities. There is even an invitation to build your own, which I accepted. I attempted to recreate a favorite from Crif Dogs, a thing called the Spicy Redneck. Bacon wrapped dog. Pickled jalapenos. Coleslaw. Simple in theory. Destination Dogs improved upon it in every way that matters. The bacon crisped with purpose. The jalapenos spoke clearly. The coleslaw behaved. The hot dog itself seemed proud to be there. All of this, plus a 16 ounce beer, cost me about twenty five dollars with tip. A small price for order in a chaotic universe. Five stars. Not because perfection exists, but because this comes close enough to make the argument.
