The apples are so nice it is tempting to pull one through your car window on the way up! They had pies baking as we walked in, heavenly!! You can buy a whole pie, or by the slice, 'ala mode even! A lot of apple desserts, blueberry crisps, cream cheese topped apple muffins.. and a fantastic view from their dining area! We got a free hay ride where they told us about the history of the orchard, as well as many cool facts about apples. I had no idea that there were over a thousand types of apples! They have a cute little jungle gym for kids to play on while you pick their delicious apples. The honesycrisp are to die for when they are ready. The real fireworks came when we tried their honesycrisp cider. Holy smokes. I would pay whatever they asked of me for that stuff. We honestly went home with six gallons of it because the told us it freezes well. I like that they have a little bakery and seating area. I do wish they haf a little more variety of food and drink options, but we got applr doughnuts and apple crisps and they were glorious! This place is worth the trip when their honeycrisp apples are in season! The perfect way to spend an afternoon with your family!

We found the place to be busy but not cram-packed; there was seating indoors and out for people to enjoy their drinks. We had only one person ahead of us in line, so the ordering process went fast. We ordered a cider flight, which included four drinks; at this point in the season, they had five to choose from. We also ordered some cookies and little apple strudels from the bakery case in the adjoining room, which also had different apple bags available for purchase. Several of the apples had a samples available, kept under a dome to keep away the fruit flies that were swirling around. The ciders and pastries were tasty. I browsed the shop afterward. This would be a good place to gift shop. They had jams and jellies, home decorative items that kept to a wine theme, and of course, their ciders and wines.

We have a couple of favorite orchards however after finding Maple Leaf Orchard, we have a new favorite. While we really enjoy a couple of orchards in MN, Maple Leaf Orchard is something special. We had just stopped at our favorite cheese factory just down the road. Instead of driving back into MN to visit one of our favorite orchards, we thought we would look for an orchard on the way home. Maple Leaf Orchard was right on the way. The first thing we noticed is how scenic the area is. Nothing but corn fields and hills around until you find this orchard. They are busy too. Lots of cars parked and people picking apples and a long line for fresh made apple doughnuts. We picked up a bag of apples, some apple cider and of course we tried the doughnuts. A hot fresh apple doughnut is a sweet treat. The apples were fresh and crispy. What makes Maple Leaf Orchard special is their apple cider is the best. I could tell right away after my first sip. The freshness, the flavor. Excellent! Our favorite orchard in MN has apple dandies. Now we have a new orchard for our favorite apple cider. I already finished their apple cider so we are heading back again soon for another round of apple cider. Great family owned orchard and ooh that apple cider is delicious!
