I had an extremely frustrating experience with this office today…read more Before my appointment, I specifically called ahead and explained that my current State ID reflects my married name, while the birth certificate paperwork reflects my maiden name. I asked whether bringing my certified legal name-change documents would be sufficient, and I was explicitly told yes. I made the trip to the office with everything I was instructed to bring: a valid government-issued ID and certified name-change documentation. Despite this, the clerk refused to notarize my paperwork for the exact issue I had already disclosed beforehand. This situation was completely avoidable and ended up being a huge waste of my time. I urgently need a certified copy of my birth certificate in order to obtain a new ID, which is why I took the extra step of calling in advance to confirm the requirements before coming in. lack of competency. I would not recommend this office based on my experience. **Review Update - Responding to the Owners comment** Your response perfectly illustrates why this experience was so frustrating. I fully understand that a notary has discretion and must comply with Washington law. The issue is that I specifically contacted your office beforehand, explained that my current ID reflects my married name while the birth certificate request reflects my birth name, and asked what documentation I needed to bring to verify my identity. I was told to bring my certified, court-ordered name-change paperwork. That is exactly what I did. A signed and certified court order for a legal name change is the same type of documentation required to update a Social Security card or obtain a new government-issued ID in the first place. Despite presenting that documentation along with my valid ID, I was still refused service for the exact issue I disclosed in advance. So while your response emphasizes that the paperwork needed to be "reviewed in person," that review ultimately concluded that official court-certified proof of my legal name change was somehow insufficient to establish that I was the same person -- which is difficult to take seriously. The problem was never that approval was not "guaranteed." The problem was that I followed the instructions your office gave me, arrived with the requested documentation, and still had my time wasted because you do not understand how to handle a straightforward legal name-change situation or were unwilling to exercise reasonable judgment. After reading through many of your other Yelp/Google reviews, it also appears this is not an isolated incident. There seems to be a consistent pattern of dismissive behavior, poor communication, and customers being blamed after relying on guidance provided by your office. That is not acceptable for a business handling important legal documents and identity-related services.

Her communications to my wife, who had contacted Kim on my behalf, were plain rude. Lastly, she failed to arrive at the appointed place and time. Now, Kim has left me in a bind to find a notary public to meet a fast approaching deadline. I contacted Kim on a Saturday because I needed a notarization, but UPS did not have a notary on shift. Because I was driving I asked my wife to contact a notary. She found NotaryPro Today. The quote my wife received from Kim, the notary, was for $35 dollars. At 4pm I contacted Kim myself to schedule her services. She quoted me $40. When I pointed out the inconsistency, Kim said "It's $40 for you." Additionally, despite the fact that her hours were until 7pm, she said that she was in for the night at 4pm. She then said she could meet me the following day, and we set up a 10am meeting. The following day she ghosted me. She repeated that the $35 fee was for my wife and that $40 was for me, even though it was my signature/document that Kim would notarize. She added additional charges because it was a Sunday, even though she's the one who refused to meet me on Saturday. Kim then told my wife that if we didn't like what she was charging me, I could find another notary. Do not use the services of NotaryPro Today. Her pricing is completely arbitrary and based on the customer's sex, she's rude to potential customers, and she will leave you hanging.

Needed a mobile notary plus two witnesses to sign a will…read more Wanted to go with a woman owned small business and Kimberly (NotaryPro Today) had a five star rating on Google so I reached out to her via email with our needs and Kimberly was so quick and sweet in her reply. We set up a time and comfortable place to meet and she was able to provide the two witnesses we needed to make our will valid. She also accepts a few different forms of payment so that was a breeze, too. For us there was no unease in singing a document such as a will but I can imagine for some folks it might an emotional thing to do...Kimberly was easy to talk to and made the process comfortable and efficient. Highly recommend if you need a notary!
