Caitlin, the RN scheduled all my appointments like a pro. Albert, the Physician Assistant, listened to every word I said, and treated me respectfully, as a patient with legitimate pain. Dr. Mambalam did my injections and RFA beautifully and I got 90% relief (so far!) Even working in healthcare, I felt sometimes as though I was not believed. I felt belittled, and as though I should just stop asking for help. OPC made me feel welcome. They understood, and they treated me respectfully. For that I will always be grateful. Don't give up. I recommend you find a different pain management clinic unless you have literally nothing else to do with your time and you enjoy just sitting and waiting. I had better experiences at the DMV.

We can pay and are not criminals because your billing practices are hopelessly disorganized. Untrustworthy and malicious in its practices. Petty in its operations. Avoid. From my first visit I have been very pleased with most of the interactions with staff and Doctors here. Specifically, Veronica the MA in the orthopedic clinic, Dr. Hwang and his PA Michael Cunningham as well as Heidi Tyson my rehab therapist are all excellent. My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.

I canceled my appointment before I ever met with the provider because my experience with the office…read morestaff made me uncomfortable trusting this practice with my health. As a patient seeking help for pain, communication matters. Before my appointment, I tried to confirm the details but did not receive a clear response by email, text, or phone. When a medical office is difficult to reach before you are even seen, that raises serious concerns about how responsive they will be once you are actually under their care. After receiving no confirmation, I contacted the office. When I did not receive a confirmation of the cancellation, I called a second time and left a voicemail message canceling my appointment a second time. Despite that, I was later billed as a "no show", which is unacceptable. If the office fails to respond, fails to properly confirm an appointment, and then fails to process a cancellation, the patient should not be penalized for that breakdown. I cannot speak to the doctor's medical care because I never made it that far. But I can speak to the office experience, and it was poor enough that I chose not to proceed. For anyone dealing with pain, the last thing you need is added stress, unclear communication, and billing issues before care has even begun. This experience left me with the impression that the practice is more focused on collecting fees than making patients feel heard, supported, and properly cared for.

This place is more of a scam operation than anything remotely resembling a legitimate pain clinic…read more Their online check in was not working and they did not respond to emails but I was able to get through via phone to confirm my appointment. It's a fairly large facility and I was the only patient there when I arrived. After reading this, you'll understand why. First thing they wanted was payment in advance! Who does that??? Finally settled for (unsigned) card swipe. After a sort of pre-interview with an assistant, Dr. Kwo Wei David Ho came in and asked briefly about my chronic pain issues. He seemed more concerned about what secondary insurance plans I had than anything else. I told him what the issues were and that I had been successfully managing my pain levels with very low dose Lyrica and Valium for decades, as prescribed by all of my previous physicians. When I switched to Medicare at age 65 I lost my previous doctor so I was referred here. Simple, right? Oh no! While the doctor did offer to give me literally twice as many Lyrica as I had been taking, he outright refused to prescribe any Valium at all. It's worth mentioning that I only take 12 pills a month and no other medications. I asked him for a medical reason for not prescribing valium and he refused to provide one. All he said was he would ONLY prescribe valium if I agreed to painful, costly, risky and (per my research) useless spinal injection treatments. So there it is! They lure you in thinking you'll be treated for chronic pain and instead try to basically extort you into enduring costly, painful and potentially destructive treatments just to get the meds you actually need. This is a sickening case of profit and greed at the expense of patient health and well being. They prey upon the elderly and infirm to hawk their costly treatments and then deny them the meds they need if they refuse. I told them not to run my card for services not rendered and I will immediately instruct my bank to issue a chargeback if they do. I am also notifying Medicare that any charges from this clinic are fraudulent as services were not rendered, at all. If anything, they should pay me for wasting my time! I highly encourage anyone with chronic pain to avoid this shady practice like the plague!
