A nice place to be to escape the boredom of summer. The people here are also super friendly too!

He frequently went above and beyond to show kindness including suggestions, giving us an offer of croissants for breakfast when we were running late, and even offering to haul kayaks up and down to the lake for us if we wanted. The lodging was clean, cute, and memorable. As part of staying there, we also signed up for the horseback riding at Bent Tree Stables. Keeve was flexible with our arrival, gave good instructions, was kind and good with kids, was organized, and had a great staff working with him. My fiancee was nervous to ride horses, but they paired her with a gentle horse, led her by the reins when needed, and were very kind and understanding. The ride and the scenery were AMAZING on our bright and sunny day. You get to ride through shaded trails, out in the open sun, try trotting and loping, and walking through shallow water. There are beautiful landscapes of a lake, mountains, and a small field. I almost forgot to mention that Keeve takes photos throughout the ride, edits them, and posts them for free to google drive for you to download. :-D And we got the amazing deal of only $50 per person. Honestly, I would have paid $75-100 for this same experience. They tell you it's a one hour ride (which is true, you do ride for one hour), but they also give you a brief lesson about using the reins and steering the horse, help everyone mount up one by one, and introduce each person to their horse. Overall, I would say they spent 3 hours with us total! Something to keep in mind if you were planning to pop in and out for only an hour, but man what an amazing value for the price. HIGHLY recommended! I am posting this everywhere so people know about this gem!

The horses are gentle and well trained, our guide was amazing, we opted for a one hour ride through the woods next to the stream and took a quick step into the lake to give the horses a drink of water! It was a very peaceful ride that is highly recommended even on a warm day. We can't wait to go back when the leaves start to turn to see how beautiful the scenery will be at that time! Highly recommend for anyone that enjoys horseback riding!!
