    The reason I am leaving a 1 Star review is simple. There are no negative numbers to put in for what…read morei'm about to tell you.. I had 5 APG in a week and a half ago looking to sell my house. Arron Thomas (412) 253-2343 who is the Acquisitions Manager (keep in mind "the manager" for later in the review) arrived to give us what we considered to be a very fine offer on our home. As we were looking to see outright and looking for a new home, the offer was outstanding. Aaron stated it would take up to sixty (60) days to close. No problem at all with that. It would give us time to find a new place. But he stated go ahead and start there process so you're ready to go when its time. In the next few days, got pre-approval set up for the new mortgage, got a realtor and started the process of looking for a new home. All along keeping Aaron informed of progress as he requested so everything would keep pace. Over this past weekend we actually were Blessed enough to find a home we fell in love with and put in an offer. This past Sunday we found out a substantial counter offer was made which we couldn't govagaunst so we lost our chance at that home. THANK GOD looking back that we lost out on the house and here's why. On Monday (yesterday) I contacted Arron to let him know our stratus again as requested. No response. Was contacting him as the Realtor needed an "Intent to Purchase letter" from 5 APG since we weren't selling through a Realtor. Figuring Aaron was busy, OI again called last evening. No response. This morning (9.23.25) I emailed him. No response. This afternoon finally made contact via phone. I explained why I needed and Arron became very vague and withdrawn with his responses. He said he would call me back this afternoon as he was on the road. I told him no problem and would talk later. At this point, with lack of response over the past few days and his vague demeanor just today I began to let my mind wander that something was wrong. I chalked it up to being stressed over working so hard tovfind a new home and keeping everything straight. As of 430pm today Aaron finally called me back. I could hear in his voice something. wasn't right. He went on to babble over how his "Team" looked over the offer again today stating he would not be able to uphold the original offer. He went on saying how the market has been so bad over the last quarter and they are having a hard time selling properties and yada yada yada. I then asked him then, ok what is the new offer. He stated they were withdrawing any offer because of the market. I asked Aaron Thomas why he just wasn't upfront with me 1a week and a half ago, having us jump through all we have gone though because they were going to buy the house. Again he started with how bad the past quarter has been. Keep in mind earlier in this long winded review I started he was the Acquisitions Manager.. MANAGER? Please tell me how the Manager, the man wholes this group wouldn't know a week and a half ago that he couldn't make an offer and abide by it? Soooo the market crashed in a week and a half and they can't sell any of there houses? Yeah ok then. THANK GOD as I said before we lost out on the bid we placed as we would have really been screwed due to the ineptness of 5APG. Bad enough tovscrew with peoples emotions but to possibly screw with their livelihood and hang a home to live in is inexcusable!!!! SHAME ON THEM, SHAME ON AARON THOMAS the AQUISITIONS MANAGER at 412-253-2343. Good people reading this, know this was long winded because I'm looking out for you since 5APG will not. I wouldn't't want to see anyone go through this and possibly end up in worse shape had they actually settled on a new home. I will make sure this review gores out to every outlet I can get it to.

After living in the house for nearly a year, I can attest to the very high level of quality and craftsmanship that he put into this home. The home inspector even commented to me prior to purchasing that he's seen a lot of renovated homes, and this one was clearly done right. He used high end finishes like Brazilian Cherry floors, granite kitchen counters, and marble in the master bathroom. He also took the time to have the brick cleaned on the outside of the house, exposed and restored original woodwork, vaulted the 3rd floor to create even more livable space. Everywhere you look, you can see that time and thought was put into the final product. It's been so nice having friends and family comment on the beauty and quality of the renovation too! Aside from the quality craftsmanship, Pittsburgh Property Guy himself provided top notch customer service to me when I had questions or minor issues that I encountered. He worked with me directly via phone and email, and was always very quick to respond. It was clear that my happiness as his customer was important to him, and that's not something that should be overlooked! If you're thinking about buying one of his properties, you're in safe hands.

My property lines were obviously skewed on Google Maps and realtor sites and I was having an issue with someone possibly dumping into my yard. I tried to determine my residential property lines on my own by going through Allegheny Records and getting a metal detector to find monuments. Could not find anything. When I was getting quotes, I got a wide range of quotes from neighbors and businesses. I initially chose Arpenteur because of their good reviews and Joan gave me the lowest quote from anyone. When it was time for my appointment, Mark and Scott arrived early and got to work quickly. Once they had gotten their markings, they walked the property with me and asked where I would like to see additional monuments. Turns out, there weren't any to begin with which explains why I couldn't find any. Mark and Scott were exceedingly friendly and helpful, and now I have a completely different picture of where my property is. I would highly recommend anyone who is in a dispute or just wants to know how far their kids can play to call up Arpenteur and get their lot surveyed.

I asked him what the back of my property had to do with the persons that ordered the survey as the back of the property is not touching theirs. He was rude and dismissive to any questions I asked and basically said there to get the information needed for their survey. He also was not able to determine the starting point of the survey accurately, which seemed odd since he is a surveyor and should be able to read the map.

After a few months of working with Bobby, my husband & I have just closed on our first house in Pittsburgh (after relocating from out of state) and this experience has been infinitely easier with Bobby in our corner. He has great recommendations, I trust his opinions and he has a network of reliable contacts to share that have so far proven to be just as amazing as he is (financials, contractors, etc). The house that we ended up purchasing was one that we visited just before the open house was ending; this house that "might work" if we saw it in person ended up being exactly what we were looking for. The house was just listed and already had 3 offers on it, so my husband called Bobby at 5p on a Sunday to ask if it might be possible to submit our best offer before the 7p deadline that day. Bobby worked with our financial contact (who was also amazing, and who he recommended) to get the offer paperwork to us immediately and because of their fast teamwork, we were able to get the house that we really wanted on such short notice! It's also worth mentioning that we went to several open houses over the past few months, and all of the hosting realtors knew who Bobby was and they all had nothing but the best things to say about him. Bobby is a true asset to the community and everything he does is with the best of intentions. Also, since home buying is (often) an emotional and stressful internal experience, it helps to work with someone who has a calming and empathetic approach to their relations. This was something I immediately noticed when I met Bobby, and for such a large and costly decision taking place (this is true for anxious people especially), this reassuring demeanor really helps you to feel supported during the entire home buying process. Scott guided us through he whole process was very patient with us and explained everything without over explaining. He helped us at every step of the way was always quick to reply and easy to contact and kept us informed. Scott also had great contacts through him he helped us pick a quality mortgage broker, home inspector and everything else we needed for the process. Scott was also extremely knowledgeable about the houses we toured and was able to point out things I never would have noticed or known to ask about. He was able to adapt as we figured out what kind of houses we were actually interested in and guide us to more like what we wanted. We toured a lot of houses and made two offers in our Journey and Scott was reassuring communicative and effective the entire way. Every weekend he would set us up to tour homes with an itinerary and a plan also including and getting us information on homes we found ourselves that we liked. Scott was a great Value as a realtor but more importantly to me he was just a very good person. I felt like i could trust him to actually have mine and my Wife's interests at heart. I never felt pressured by him and the man knew how to make us feel comfortable in the strange situation. He was easy to talk to without it ever feeling awkward or like an obligation even on our 10th or 12th house toured. He was fun to talk to while keeping us on track through all the tours and making good use of our time. He helped us weigh the pros and cons of the places we visited and helped us understand everything through his knowledge and experience. I'd highly recommend this group and Scott in particular if you are in the process of buying a house.
