I have never seen such a poorly managed office in My life. Staff meandering about office with snacks, drinks. There is a sliding black door to a room, must have a snack bar buffet , and couch inside. In 1 hour I saw everyone enter room and exit with beverage, phone or snack. Attention Drs. Cut your staff by 50% and save yourselves and clients money. The eye exam I received there cost half the price of any other local places, yet was the MOST comprehensive eye exam I've ever had. I was vacationing in Blowing Rock and my glasses squished a bit (long story), so that they were bent with one lens barely hanging in there. On the basis of their good reviews, I went to Blue Ridge. This place is GREAT! First, a very kind woman worked diligently to bring my glasses back from the brink of death, working at least 25 minutes. Second, the atmosphere is wonderful. Such a positive, energetic, and somewhat zany place! Third, they charged me NOTHING for spending a long time with my glasses, adding new pads, and doing a far better job than my own eyeglass place back in Durham. Son went in for a scratch on his cornea. They put some sort of lens bandage on his eye and told him to come back the next day to just take it out. Charged a copay of $40 each time and charged insurance for both. This is so excessive. The second follow up in less than 24 hours should have been a continuation of the first visit. Very upset with them. read more
