We shopped at Barnes & Nobles, ate at PFChangs and took a look at the different style of apartment homes that were offered. While this kind of living is for some folks as an All in one, for me it's not amazing. Sure it's conveinient, it just felt compressed and made my skin itch. There's an Old Navy, TJ Maxx (which, by the way, is NOT at the front of the store as the sign would mislead you to believe), Homegoods (i.e., Marshall's without the clothes), Belk, a Merle Norman outlet, Bath & Body Works, the Gamefather (a video game store), and some clothing stores. Also a standard pretzel/soda/cookie spot, too. A hair cuttery, a cafe, a nail salon... You definitely couldn't make a day out of shopping here, but could spend an hour or two or so. It's clean, and the restrooms are nice, too. I will save comments about individual stores for their own personal Yelp reviews. Overall, I wouldn't suggest this as a spot for out-of-town folks, unless you just want to be amazed simply the size of by a small town mall (aka, it's cute). This is more of a spot for locals who just need (want) to grab something they're specifically looking for. This place is A-OK, and that's okay with me! :)

No one to answer the mall management phone- absolutely no security. I did report it to the manager at TJ Maxx as it seemed she was the only one actually working. Mall called me back and stated they fixed it the next day. I hope it's true. Now how about replacing my new shoes!

All four major department stores Macy's, Belk, JC Penny's, Dillard are housed here. Having a Cheesecake Factory on-site is clout enough. There are three escalators, one at each end and in middle. Our trip was during a Saturday night in November after Thanksgiving and it wasn't wall to wall people but enough to see business is going well. There is an Apple Store here as well as more than just shoe and hat stores. Central locale to get a lot of different shopping done all at once within Haywood Mall.

Nothing particularly healthy and all queued up. The mall is clean and there was a visible security presence all around the interior but I did not see one outside. Nearly all storefronts were occupied though the Sears anchor is closed. I think this mall will continue to be around for at least a few more years. At least the stores are modern and bright. But only 42 of them are still in business with vacant spots, a tattoo parlor, and a military recruiting center. It's an interesting mix. The food court is perkier than I thought it would be, and it does feature only the second Chick-fil-A to ever open on Highway 70 (circa 1978). They also have a rental car counter if you need a vehicle. But it's just not my favorite mall.

The mall itself is largely unchanged outside and in with the exception of closed stores. Upon entry at foodcourt you can look up the second floor and see the theatre no longer operates. There was one visible closed off entry inside to detached store I think was sporting goods before but no others. There is Belk, Dillards, JC Penny's and distinctly remember a dedicated Pandora store. In the old Sears building is now Rural King, farm equipment. There is a Costco not part of the mall but built very near behind. I wasn't sure what to expect walking inside, but to my pleasant surprise it seems to be a surviving mall for now. Come to this location for some centralized shopping and keep our malls going.

We used the Dillard's entrance as it's always nice to set your expectations high when you enter a shopping mall. Once past that wallet drain, the mall is in good shape and well lit.
