They were both very nice and listened attentively to the issues I was having with my neck, shoulders and headaches. They were both keen to help. At the end of each accupuncture treatment, they did cupping on my back. Cupping is not the most comfortable experience but combined with the accupuncture, the benefits and relief are amazing. It's not a fancy spa in a great location - so if you put that idea aside, then it's good. The only off putting part for me is the burning smell inside. I think they burn something for a particular treatment but it smells throughout the building and I don't enjoy it. I find the smell lingers on me after I've left. But it doesn't stop me from going back. Interesting fact - Dr. Joe teaches at MacEwan and has for a really long time.

I have massages from Teresa and Barkley and acupuncture from Dr. Jane, Dr. Joe and Barkley and have no hesitation referring any of the staff! Most actually teach at Grant Mac as well. If you have an issue with needles, let them know and they will out you at ease. Acupuncture does not cause pain and you will feel soooooo much better after a treatment. If you need traditional Chinese herbs or medicine the clinic also supplies it.

I had a groupon to use for acupuncture. I have had acupuncture many times before, so was looking…read moreforward to it. Well was I in for a surprise, it wasn't just acupuncture. After filling out my forms he decided to concentrate on the major areas of concern for this session which was my neck, shoulders, back, lower back and my glutes (bum cheeks). I first received a vigorous massage on those areas, the pressure hard. I loved it! Finally a massage where they work those muscles! I could literally feel the heat of his hands as he worked those areas, my back was hot! Than I received acupuncture, on those areas with a tens machine attached to it. He covered me up and left me for a bit to relax. Just as I was about to snore, he came in and than did cupping. I have been cupped numerous times and usually its about 6 cups. No cups were spared: my back, shoulders, neck, hips and bum were cupped! My cups over runneth! Cups with acupuncture and tens machine! The triple whammy! He covered me up and left me to be for a bit. Well I full fledged crashed and woke myself up with my snoring! After that was done, he wiped the areas with a warm wet cloth, gave a quick rub to stipulate the areas, had me flip over and turned down the lights. I got my toes cracked and my fingers as well (which if you never have done, you must.) So satisfying! lol . He gave a face rub, head massage and than my session was over. Will I be back?? Damn skippy I will be back! In two weeks! I walked out of that clinic like a new woman! Can't wait for my next session!

I'm also having a series of Accupuncture treatments for various injuries. I find them very effective. The doctor I saw was knowledgeable about my injury and worked the injured tendon very well. My favourite part when another practitioner came in and gave me a noogy. I don't know what it did but I had a great sleep.

I have been a patient of Dr V's for about 8 years. I truly believe that she saved my life. When my…read morefamily doctor said she was concerned about my kidney readings there was a very long silence as I waited to hear what she suggested be done to correct it. When it became obvious that she had nothing to offer, I asked if I should drink more water. Her reply was yes just drink more water. The way she said it did not leave me with the confidence that she was sure. I had never been to a Naturopath before but figured it would be worth trying. When Dr V looked at my blood work, she indicated that she understood why my doctor was concerned and indicated that my kidneys were dying. I asked if it was reversable to which she said of course. She set me up on a supplement and said it would take about 10 to 12 months to get my kidneys back to health. A year later my blood work showed that my kidneys were just about back to normal. Since that time each time I have my annual physical I take the bloodwork to Dr V for review and she has guided me through it with the answers I need to address the issues that show up in the blood. I am 68 years old and thanks to Dr V I am not on any of the medications my family doc has tried to get me on over the years. Each time a medication is suggested, I talk to Dr V and she has had the answer either through a supplement or a dietary change that corrects the issue. Most recently I asked her what is the next step in me being proactive in keeping my health instead of waiting for an issue to occur. I just completed a routine to reduce the plaque in my system. I absolutely feel the improvement in a number of the areas this process has said it will including reduced brain fog, more energy and so much more. Thank you Dr V for being who you are and for the quality of life that I enjoy largely because of your guidance

Bought a Groupon on a whim and it's turned out great so far. The Groupon was for 4 sessions and guess what, it only cost $62 (deal yo!). I've gone three weeks in a row to work on a few past injuries I've had (shoulder, ankle and jaw) and Tracy has been absolutely fantastic. She is very knowledgeable, explains what she is doing and uses a variety of techniques. I've had acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and gua sha done on me. They also provide insurance receipts if you have coverage with work. Normal price is $70 for acupuncture but if you buy a package deal (5/10 sessions), you can get a sweet deal. Just ask. Highly recommend. They also do massages but I haven't had one here yet.

I booked in with Tracey who learned her practice in China and she really made me feel at ease when asking about my issues and preparing me for my first acupuncture session. The room smelled like smoke and I thought maybe the person was getting acupuncture to quit smoking and this was part of the therapy haha But no it was a heat therapy she also used on my back too and it was really fascinating. I had needles placed up my neck, shoulder blades, lower back and one right on the top of my head. The needles going into the muscles in my shoulders were connected to a machine sending electric shocks to stimulate and relieve tension. It felt like a gentle tapping and it did feel good at the time. She also did cupping on the rest of my back and left me for 20 mins with soothing music on. She returned and gave me a massage in the areas she felt were tender and this helped immensely. The cool thing is she gave me her diagnosis, and some stretches to do at home etc. She said if I'm still in pain to come back in three weeks but the stretches and continued yoga should help. I was impressed she didn't just want me to keep coming back and I genuinely felt she was trying to help me find a real solution. When I went to pay the machine didn't prompt to tip so I asked the receptionist about it and she thought I said tap. I think she thought I was complaining they didn't have tap. I was actually very impressed and wanted to show my gratitude.
