I was a tenant in a home where the owners replaced their 20-year-old garage door with a brand-new one installed by Aaron. Within the first four months, the garage door cable came off twice. Before the second failure, I contacted Aaron because the new door was squealing and sounded like it was straining. Instead of inspecting it, he told me not to worry and just spray WD-40 on it. Two weeks later, the cable came off again and became completely tangled--the same problem as before. When I asked why this was happening on a brand-new garage door, his response was, "I don't know." He then charged me $350 for a Saturday service call and told the property management company that I must have tampered with the door or blocked the garage's path. Neither was true. I had reported the warning signs before the failure, yet my concerns were dismissed. I expected a new garage door installation to be backed by the installer's workmanship, especially after the same issue occurred twice in such a short period.
