My husband and I just signed a six month lease with this apartment complex. We are accustomed to…read moreliving in houses, but at this time we need something efficient and affordable. Most people would not chose to live in Anderson....it's basically a small highway exit town, but I work here and I like the small town feel compared to Redding to the North. My interactions with the office manager let me know she is not one to be crossed, but at the same time she is compassionate about these townhouses and wants to keep the neighborhood nice and safe. She lives here too. They have professionally cleaned the carpets, which are in good repair, and purchased us a new refrigerator, so I'm impressed so far. I like the internal washer/dryer hookups and we plan to purchase a washer/dryer soon. The stove is gas, which is great. Central air and heat. The place is a decent size for a small family that works 5 days a week and just needs a comfortable place to cook and rest. I will write another review once we have spent more time here. So far, I'm happy with out decision to live at Gateway.

I called the manager in panic expecting support as this was my uncles late wife Sarah. They claimed I was out of my mind and I don't know what bed bugs are. So I called a terminex guy to come out the next day, she was offended as she claims to have a "bug guy" but couldn't name a licensed company he works for. After viewing the report I decided not to move in and wanted my money back. They were upset and of coarse kept the rent while trying to hold the deposit as well for ONE NIGHT! After I moved out I was invited by the managers daughter to a "Bowtique" group on Facebook where she sales fabrics out of these apartments. So I left a review warning of the possible transfer of bed bugs. They then claim online that I gave the building bed bugs though previously they wouldn't admit they were even bed bugs in the building. These people are nasty characters be aware of these renters as it is NOT against the law to deny bed bugs. Sarah Hamilton was married to my uncle but was left by him in their early years.

They charged me 3X my income. Recertified me twice in the same month (which I found out through my lawyer is illegal) then raised my rent again. I left several messages explaining I couldn't afford the rent they were asking. Many days I would have to pick between paying rent or eating for me and my 4 year old. Since Covid had started my rent was raised four times then followed by an illegal evection which I was only given one week to get my things out instead of the 60 days by law. Save your money on lawyers and things like that and stay away from these apartments. One of the managers is extremely racist and if you are of any color, they will do anything they can even if it's illegal to get you gone. DONT GO HERE!! I will be starting a lawsuit! Don't get yourself in my position!

Owners and management don't care about their tenants and/or community's wellbeing or safety I have…read moreliterately called and left message after message after message with all numbers I can find and the 3 times someone answers I get told they will pass it on. 4+ YEARS I HAVE TRIED TO GET THEM TO FIX THE HOLES IN THE FENCE and have been told one time it was the tenants on the other side. Well guess what management there fixed all holes on that side and stays on top of, but the holes on the dirt alley way have gotten way bigger and have grown in numbers. Also, they have camera's and refuses to share video with APD. So much for a SAFE GATED COMPLEX!!! I watch the druggies and thieves use these said holes to run from the cops and still management & owner's due NOTHING to fix the problem. Oh, best known by parents as the complex to find their run-away children. Today I left a message for code enforcement see what the next step will be to take to make our community a little safer one step at a time. Wish I didn't have to give a star or could give negative rating.

Just moved out today. I rented a unit for 2.5 years or so from RPM. Nothing but good things to say…read more Staff was always very friendly and attentive to the needs of residents in our area. RPM has just the right amount of hands off to tenants that earn it. Regular annual inspections went great. Units were maintained regularly with landscaping and lot maintenance which was appreciated. The AppFolio platform to pay rent and request service is very user friendly. If you are looking for a place to lease check out RPM first.
