For me this was invaluable advice since I was at a loss what would accentuate my figure, but with Jason's guide I found great corsets and bodysuits that I loved wearing! And the pictures were really beautiful -- journalistic yet lovely. We had some difficulties afterwards in putting the album together. My husband and I got really busy, had a baby, had another baby, etc. We were very slow in selecting our pictures. But we also found that sometimes it was difficult to get in touch with Robert about the album. At other times, we found him very responsive, and he upgraded our album for free because of the difficulty we'd had in reaching him. At the end of the day, I have a beautiful album with beautiful pictures. I think that if you stay on top of your album and select your pictures quickly, you'll have a great experience.

Unable to let go of the idea, but knowing what joy it would bring to have this momento, I remembered seeing the amazing work of Eva-Lena Rehnmarkon her website. With high hopes, but expecting her to tell me that it was too late to commission this work, I called her. Within the day, she called me back to discuss details and establish whether or not enough time was allotted. We were so excited that she fit us in to her busy schedule- working with us in our budget and tight time crunch. She was fabulous to communicate with- she listened very carefully to what our vision was for the contract, she offered a variety of options, built on our vision with wonderful, personalized ideas, and was in consistent contact throughout the process. Eva-Lena quickly sent us sketches of the proposed illustrated wedding contract and was very open to our feedback regarding color schemes and additional details we desired. When she sent the final image of the contract, we were blown away by its beauty. With only a couple days to go before our destination wedding, Eva-Lena expedited the shipping of the contract, sending it to our wedding planner with days to go before our Big Day. When we saw the contract in person on the day of our wedding, we were overjoyed- it is even more beautiful in person! Her style felt fresh and unconventional -- more documentary and journalistic than traditional -- and I especially loved her use of black and white photography, which was a big reason we chose her. The day started at our hotel, where she jumped between our separate rooms to capture my wife and me getting ready. Before she had even gotten to our rooms, she had already scouted the perfect location for our first look. The moment was absolutely incredible, and she handled everything; we didn't have to do a thing but follow her lead. That professional confidence continued at City Hall. She has a masterful familiarity with the building. She took full control of the shoot, guiding us as she told us exactly where to stand, how to pose, and where to move next so we could just relax and enjoy the moment. As a photographer myself, I really appreciated her confidence and professionalism. All we had to do was follow instructions and be present. She knows San Francisco City Hall inside and out -- the lighting, the angles, the timing, and the key locations that truly matter -- every shot felt deliberate and it showed. The technical skill here is top-notch-- the compositions were beautiful, the balance of each frame was spot-on, and her gorgeous color grading. We received around 300 images, and the quality is so consistent that I plan to print every last one of them in large format to ensure we have a permanent physical archive. For the engagement photos, this was back in November 2023. She was already there when we arrived. After coming across their photos when researching different potential photographers that had experience at our venue, we were very interested in meeting them. We had an initial video call with them and knew immediately that we wanted to book them for such a critical part of our wedding journey. There aren't enough words to describe how skilled and professional they are--they are amazing photographers (individually and as a duo) and clearly love what they do. Our proposal photoshoot was the only prior experience we had in terms of taking professional photos as a couple. We met them in person for the first time at our engagement photoshoot--they immediately made us feel comfortable and were seriously thoughtful about the entire process, whether it was the location choices, minute-by-minute weather changes/forecast, outfit changes, etc. It really feels like they plan for everything and care about the little details. When we asked them about another vendor they would potentially work with on the day of our wedding, they even referenced notes they made when they had worked with them for a prior wedding. Throughout the whole process, they were prompt communicators (frequently responding to an email within minutes!) and guided us with experience and patience that we really appreciated. Whenever we had something to discuss with them (including choices we needed to make as a couple), they never hesitated to give us suggestions and feedback. Even if they offered an alternative suggestion to an idea of ours, it always felt like they genuinely cared and they wanted what we wanted, and it never felt like criticism. We received our wedding photos just about 2 months after our wedding, and we love every single one of them (all 667)!
