The village's picturesque setting, I find it... breathtaking (take a look at some of the pics I took). The unique shops, and cozy atmosphere make it an ideal destination for relaxation and recreation. During my visit, I enjoyed exploring the village, taking in the scenic views, and indulging in the local cuisine. The amenities, including restaurants, cafes, and bars, were great. All I can tell you is.. Its unique blend of natural beauty, charm, and amenities makes it the go to destination in Ontario.

With my prepaid pass rain or shine, if I show up I'm prepaid unlimited access, so I went in Feb 1-2026 middle of the morning it was so packed I was parked right in the hotel parking near the Jozo. One of the struggles is that when your prepaid with the 5x7 or ikon pass, there is barely any parking when you combine the races happening on the same weekend- it's almost as if these gatherings for the Toronto Ski Club should have a coach bus to bring in not only the children but their parents too- for the comfort and parking available for paying patrons. Starting 2026, Blue Mountain started branding the Reserve option which offers premium parking and skip the line option. But Reserve line was available at the silver bullet; the difficulty is the reserve line access is not next to the single line but all the way in the back. So unless someone is managing patrons with their new configuration of bars to restrict 3 and 3 on each side, you could be idle. Staff are put in place but they don't help manage people traffic and without a guide to their not so self explanatory setup- people just jam their bodies in and hope for the best then when their entering with people they don't want to be paired with just "step back " result in under capacity. The hills are just overrun that by 11-12noon the hills are all nice and operators don't legroom until 3:30pm. The food discount are not consistent, for example the Pottery has select deals that does not apply the ikon food discount. Some outdoor seats are not safe, sat next to the Roots and Tim Hortons, ice fell on the guy next to me, thank goodness he was wearing a ski helmet- things like this can be better managed from a safety standpoint because every visit usually yields $25-100 in food purchase and is usually associated with a 100km drive and a hotel booking within Collingwood or the Blue Mountain village. Personally for me, every visit cost me about $170-200 in hotel booking, a $30-40 purchase at one of the Blue Mountain establishments and dinner around $50 offsite. And I usually visit with 2-3 other prepaid patrons. Personally I think Blue Mountain can do better to serve the prepaid patrons.

Compared to a smaller hill like Snow Valley, the Greens were like blues almost blacks in some cases and the Blues were Blacks on the smaller hill. They were quite steep and challenging. if that's what you're looking for great! One of the runs called Southern Cross is classified as a Green but it should be a Blue in my opinion. being narrow and off a cliff it's difficult to maneuver. We were there during New Years weekend and it was pretty crowded. I get that but the lifts stopped way too often. I also noticed no signage to inform people how to get on or off which might be some of the issue. Like unloading arrows etc. There are 2 chalets and they are placed a bit far from the ski lift. It's difficult to get to. The food was ample and pretty good but very over priced. $4 for a bag of chips? RIDGE RUNNER We bought a 3 pack of activities to do. You have to do them all in one day which is a bit silly. It's difficult to understand the offer on the website. . Went on Ridge Runner after waiting 1.5 hr in a line of only about 20 parties. It was a bit ridiculous. Again seemingly cause by people who didn't know what they were getting on needs a more efficient loading and in loading process. Worse off was that it's meant to be a fast coast in the mountains, and told not to stop or slow down, however the people in front of us stopped and slowed down the entire day making the experience worthless. SKATING This is at the top of the mountain. You have to drive there. There's no indoor shelter from the wind to change into your stuff. Before you even get on the ice you are frozen. There is a fire but it doesn't do much because of the wind. There are some bins to put your stuff but it's very icy in the staging area. My friend fell and broke his wrist. They need to add some safety mats to this area. Overall, I did not have the sense of safety or that staff cared about guest safety and guest experience.

To be honest, a good reason it might not have been the nicest experience is because we got a smaller cottage that is not as well maintained or properly cleaned as some of the nicer ones in the area. In terms of location, the location was great and easy to reach. Could not have asked for a better place and a resort to really chill and bond with family. We were a group of 6 people and the cottage could have easily accommodate close to 8 people, if not up o 10. Location was good, employees were nice......so what is wrong with that you might ask me? Well, for starters, it seems like the cottage that we took place and were part of, one of the rooms had mice poo under the bed. The reason we knew that was because we moved the beds a bit as it was slanted to one side and hence, needed to be properly fixed so that we can sleep comfortably. When my cousin and I went to fix as well as take a look in more detail as to what has happened to one of the stands that supported the bed, we realized, that there was quite the amount of dirt and poo located underneath the place where our bed was supposed to be. As I said, it must have been a one off and hence, I really hate to give this place a bad review, but that portion of the experience was really disturbing to us and not an experience I believe to be on worth giving it a 4 star just due to the fact that the location and employees were good. Hopefully, in the future, the experience can turn to be a positive one and will improve from here on out.

(who expects a blackout?) anyhow for a special getaway its a great place.

They all have the same cookie cutter layout. The Resort is just off the main road, so it isn't so hard to find. It's sorta easy to get in and out of. There's a spot where the street narrows a bit, but that doesn't bother me at all. Parking spots are plentiful, and the people who run the place keep the streets tidy from the snow. They even have people shovel snow off in the morning as well. We had the back units, so it's a teeny tiny bit of a walk from the streets. I really don't mind that either, because after we were settled, we were pretty much good to go. Plus were able to cook our own food. Which means,, thrifty vacay!! I've…read morecome here in both the summer and winter, and there are always plenty of fun things to do. Meandering through the caves and caverns is the main highlight in the summer (as well as spring and fall). All caves and caverns follow a structured path, and everything is clearly well marked. They also have mini golf, gemstone mining, hiking trails, and adventure playground for the warmer months. In the winter, it's great for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and sauna. They have a nordic pro shop where you can purchase or rent equipment. The gift shop, which doubles as a small cafe selling hot drinks and snacks, also carries winter activity essentials, ranging from base layers to gloves and toques. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We rented their snowshoes, and they were of excellent quality (with spikes at the bottom to help crush ice, which became very helpful as the trails were quite icy that day). The snowshoe trails are mostly loops and very clearly well marked - it's impossible to get lost.

But the day we went was on and off rain, and it turns out the train is battery/electric run so it does not operate unless the ground is completely dry. Wish we would have known this beforehand as the entry fee is kind of hefty if the one thing your kid was excited for didn't end up operating. They require closed toe hiking or running shoes to enter. The suspension bridge trail and the caves trail were really neat. If you have a toddler 2 or under you might need to carry them part of the caves trail as there are some tricky slippery spots. The suspension bridge trail is much easier and you get a great view from the bridge. The playground is big and fun. You can also buy fish food (25 cents) to feed the fish, though you're more likely to get gulls fighting over the fish food than to see any fish. We did see a big trout though which was neat! Besides the train not operating, and the kind of cold and wet weather, this would have been a great summer day activity. They let you bring your own food inside to have a picnic. And once you get your wristband you have in and out privileges all day which was nice. We wiuld have enjoyed this more if it was warmer and not raining.

Amazing location! Ski in, ski out, right in the village and all the action. We had a loft suite…read moreroom and it was perfect for our family of four. Parking garage was great. Hot tub and other amenities were on point. Never waited longer than a minute for an elevator. Staff was attentive and while they were busy, they definitely all deserve five stars. We would definitely stay here again. With that said a few things of note: 1. We were never told about the ski lockers or provided our combo for the lock. Perhaps a newbie ski family mistake for not assuming, but also frustrating. 2. I had called about clearance height for vehicles as we wanted to use our Thule on our SUV. The front desk was not much help. Had we known there is a valet lot for vehicles with rooftop boxes, we would have done it for the nominal fee. As I am sure many parents can relate, driving in a snow storm when you can't see out the rear is not fun... roof box solves that. 3. The restaurant on site is lackluster. Service is on point; however, food is just alright and pricey, it is chaotic, and why in the heck only "reservations get window seats" is a policy is beyond any family we spoke to. All these awesome window tables looking at the village and lake that go empty because "walk ins" are subjected to interior seating despite all those tables being empty our entire dining session is beyond me. This isn't Manhattan. 4. The restaurant bar, given how nice the rest of of the hotel is, looked pretty sad. You could see all the shelf lighting was defunct, it looked tired and not well kept. As a business owner myself, and for how front and center the bar area is, my gosh keep it tidy, lit up, and gleaming with some pizzaz. Thankfully for those of us with older kids it is open until midnight, and once again the staff is Johnny on the spot, but geez it has seen better days. I realize it sounds silly, but this hotel is pretty awesome and with the large lobby the bar area should be the North Star, not something I look at and wonder "are they closed already?"
