In March on a socially-distanced nature walk I slipped in mud and fell. When Beth eventually emailed her list that she was offering myofascial release-work over Zoom, I signed up, curious. It worked. Over Zoom. Twice. I feel better - about 90% the same as if I'd seen her in person. Some aspects of the session seemed even more effective than in-person. Don't ask me how. Non-local entanglement or something physics-explainable. I'm signing up again.

Beth is wonderfully present, thoughtful, and intuitive in session - plus she's impressively observant and alert, even via the seemingly-weird webcam medium. She's helped me deal with a lot of non-Covid stuff with her SE work, and, although it's hard to imagine a world in which I'd have chosen remote work over touch therapy, I'm grateful I've had the opportunity to benefit from her abundant hands-free gifts.

She is the first clinician who sat with me to thoroughly explain what was going on with my body, through viewing my x-rays, computer generated anatomical pictures, and her own words. Her use of body adjustment/alignment techniques, Dry Needling, body work and prescribed exercises, helped me recover much of my regular functional life activities. I will be returning for additional sessions. The following has been my experience with the two Reike Sessions I have had with Rebecca to date: I am self-diagnosed ADHD. I have a very difficult time "shutting down" my mind and relaxing. The hour Reike sessions provide me a "down time" for my mind - and I am truly able to relax. This is HUGE! I feel relaxed and focused after the session. I have hip replacement surgery scheduled in less than a month. Prior to my first Reike session, I was having difficulty sleeping and moving around because I would have very sharp pains traveling down my leg every time I tried to turn over in bed, or just moving around the house. The sharp pains have virtually disappeared after my first session...amazing. I don't do a Reike session with any expectations. I was hoping just to have an hour of relaxation and shutting down my brain. I never imagined that the pain I was experiencing from the osteo-arthritis would become so minimal. It can be so hard to reach out for help, and harder to find someone you can trust once you decide to look for it. I was subjected to numerous counselors and psychologists when I was 8, following the adoption of my then 5 year old brother. It was difficult even as a child to talk to someone I didn't know, and often I felt betrayed by the people I talked to when they would share our sessions with my parents. A little over a year ago, my boyfriend and I reached the point in our relationship where we needed someone to step in as an objective mediator to help us through some of the things we couldn't seem to deal with on our own. We chose to try out the counselors at my college, Holy Cross, as sessions there are free for students. When we met Chuck, we felt good about him from the beginning. He's very quiet and an amazing listener. He likes to try different approaches until he finds something that will work for YOU, and he does his homework before you come in - he's exceptionally prepared. I've never met someone as genuine as Chuck. He forgives my off days when I'm moody and difficult and don't want to talk, and I know that he really cares about me and my relationship with my boyfriend. We've moved from couples counseling into individual counseling, to work on ourselves as individuals before continuing to work on our relationship (this was a choice we made together). When Chuck finished his graduate degree at Holy Cross, he moved to the New Orleans Hope and Wellness Center, where his wife has also set up an office for counseling. I opted to follow him, even though my visits are no longer free! My boyfriend and I both recommend him for any and all counseling needs. You couldn't be in better hands! Chuck speaks highly of his wife's abilities as a counselor, but I haven't met her yet so I will just leave you with my review of Chuck. Should you need anyone to talk to, he's the person you want, and his rates are affordable.
