Christine, assured us that everything would work out and had such a message she gave us, that made us feel at ease. From the beginning she walked us through the process with the county and how to properly to do our license and what was needed. We were lost as our photographer cancelled on us at the last minute and the misses was quite upset as now we did not have a photographer and Christine stepped in and gave us a recommendation that far exceeding our expectations. Even at the last minute booking we were never rushed, we were provided several options for the ceremony and each one was remarkable, it was hard to choose. So we took different options and sent them to her, and let me say it was allot of changes and there was no hesitation as she delivered examples each time, even with a couple last minute changes, I was expecting a different reaction, but we were wrong and she delivered with such grace and patience, I sure would not have had. The day finally came and I met her first, of course the bride was running a bit late, mind you it was 25 degrees out and we were having an outdoor wedding. She came and talked to me and we walked where the ceremony was going to be. It was time, and as my wife was walking down the aisle, she made sure I did not peak bit was telling me how beautiful my bride looked and as a guy you know I wanted to see, but she with military style kept me focused. The time has come, and even with a fur coat, it was really really cold. The ceremony, we never imagined the message that was delivered would ever be that emotional and with love in the message but the love in her voice as she delivered dour ceremony. Not only did we feel it, our guests felt it as she just didn't read through the service, you could feel that it was a true feeling in her voice that was amazing. The only thing I regret, was not getting hand warmers for us, as seriously it was cold but a beat was never missed. Christine, thank you for being a part of our ceremony, thank you for uniting us as one, you will always be part of our family. ANOTHER UPDATE... 7/2/08…read more So lucky me... I did receive my wedding album last week (3 weeks before my one year anniversary). And I do have to say the album turned out wonderful. But I didn't receive the free portrait that was included in the package I purchased. I do admit that when I first emailed the order I forgot to include which picture we chose. I did write it on the order that I mailed in with our money (that they never got). So I realize that they didn't know which picture we chose, but were they planning on asking? It's called customer service... I shouldn't have to micromanage them. The worst part was that I paid them already in cash. Since I was giving them the money when they dropped off the pictures at my work, they requested cash... just in case they gave us the pictures and we gave them a bad check. It's ironic that it turned out the other way around... I paid them in good faith that I was receiving everything that was suppose to be included in my order. I was hoping that I was done dealing with them... but I guess not.

We gave the deposit and set the dates and they told me we didn't need to do anything until about 1-2 months before the wedding and they would call me to finalize details then. Call with any questions. Time goes by it is now a month before my wedding and I haven't heard from them. I called and noticed the voicemail now said Whispers! I left a very concerned message. What happened to the company I booked with and paid a nice deposit to, do they still have my wedding on their calendar, am I going to have a photographer at all??? I was terrified! A few days go by and no one has called me back. I demanded to get a call back that day. Someone called me back. My first question was where was Footprints and why wasn't I notified there had been a change? I felt I had a right to meet with a new company and see what they were like. The man didn't answer my question. He just kept saying oh we are the same if not better. I asked about the photographer we had reserved and paid extra for, I was told he wasn't there anymore, but they too had someone even better. I asked if I could get my money back that we spend to request the other gentleman. No. They said I had to pay the remaining portion of the contract as soon as possible. I said I wanted to see a new contract listing out everything that was on the original contract. I was told it would be mailed that day. I said I will pay when I get the new contract. Waited a few days no contract. Called and left several messages. I finally got the contract 2 weeks before my wedding. It all looked good so I signed it and send it back with a check. By this time I had looked everywhere for a new photographer and there was nothing. I asked about the place cards that were part of the package. We got them 3 days before the wedding and they were so ugly! It was supposed to have our picture on the front. It didn't. Finally the wedding day arrives and the photographer gets lost coming to the house, even though I had given them directions when I picked up the place cards. He was only 20 minutes late, but still. Everything at the house goes smoothly The church went fine. After the ceremony we did the standard wedding party and various parts of the family. I told him that was all I wanted for posed pictures, except one large picture of my family at the receptions. The reception went well except for the hour I spent in the hallway doing all kinds of posed family portraits. When I said we were done he said no I had all night to dance. I reminded him that we agreed no more posed pictures. We wanted more candid shots of people dancing and being part of the reception. There were 2 songs worth of candid shots. We are told the proofs will be up in 3-5 days. Two and a half weeks later they were up, but they looked terrible. I called and asked why they seemed blurry or wide angled? I was told they would fix it. They did. We had said we wanted the more photo-journalistic style and that was why we were paying more for a specific photographer. Nope didn't happen. No one could order on line yet so I collected all the orders and turned them in. I asked when we could do our order for our digital album (that we paid extra for) and was told to get all the other orders in first. I had to organize the entire album myself. I am not creative. I paid you to do this. No one told me how it could be done. This is months later after all the orders are in turned in to them and the money they called me and said something about needing my album order ASAP or we wouldn't get an album. By this point my husband and I moved out of state and we had to do this in person. It was right before Thanksgiving. I told them we wounld't be home until Christmas. They didn't care. So my mom went it with my drawings of how I wanted the pictures laid out. And what I wanted in the backgrounds. I asked them to call me to go over it with me via phone. They didn't. They weren't even there the day my mom went to drop it off. So finally I go in over Christmas to finalize everything for our album. There were lots of changed to be made. The only thing they did right was use the pictures I put it. The page order was wrong and the backgrounds were terrible. Our album got ordered, but none of the pictures family had ordered had come in yet. I started called again; I got a voicemail saying they were out of the country!! They left a number to call in case of emergency. I called it the next week figuring everyone gets a vacation. Well that person never called me back. After 5-6 calls to that number I stated the next call would be from my attorney. We got our album 3 days before our first anniversary.

When we had to pull the trigger on our big fat 500 person Indian wedding, Olga worked with us to design a whole new mini outdoor wedding this August. She helped transform a little outdoor gazebo into a beautiful wedding mandap, and truly worked with us on every detail until the last moment. She was very helpful when we had to postpone and let us move our deposit to a different day with no issues. When I asked for extra decorations last minute, she went out of her way to make it happen for us. I will definitely be using Olga and Prestige decor for all of our future events!

Even though we hired Erica as a day-of coordinator, she was responsive and helpful throughout the entire 10-month planning process. Any time I had a question, concern or was in need of a suggestion, Erica was there to respond to my late-night emails and last-minute phone calls. Because she has worked in the wedding industry for as long as she has, she knows so many talented and reasonably-priced vendors, which made her exceptionally resourceful to us. Erica was very flexible when it came to payments. We were able to schedule payment installations at our convenience, as well as pay with a credit card over the phone. Erica was especially devoted to us the week of our wedding, which we really appreciated. She willingly drove to our apartment in the city to pick up all of our decorations, which was incredibly helpful, considering we do not own a vehicle. And as for the day of our wedding: we couldn't have been more thrilled with what she did with everything we put so much love into making. Erica completely understood our vision from the start, and executed beautifully. She coordinated our large wedding parties seamlessly, and paced the entire day with little to no problem. Laura provided us with a variety of locations within a forest preserve (seated, standing, walking, wide shots, close-ups) and we didn't ever feel like it was "work" or even know what "type" of picture she was taking at the time. Our first meeting was via…read morephone- we had 3 photographers lined up to have calls with and the energy and enthusiasm that Laura and Stephen showed was unmatched. We immediately felt that right connection and moved forward with the process! Next step: engagement photos. For timing, the initial phone call was in June and we wanted a more fall-ish vibe to our engagement photos, so we waited until the end of September to do them. It ended up being about 95 degrees out. I did a trial with my hair and makeup artist that day, and with all things beauty related, we ended up running late. So Stephen and Laura waited for us, on a 95 degree day, in the middle of a field. We finally pulled up, about 40 minutes late and super apologetic, and they acted like we were 30 seconds late- not even a glimpse of grump or inconvenience. We did some photos, did a quick outfit change, then did some more into the sunset. I should mention that from the time we signed our contract in June to the time we took our engagement photos in September, I had been back and forth over whether or not to add video to our package. I've always read that it ends up being a big regret- and I just wasn't sure!! So Laura and Stephen offered to chat with us after the shoot to see if we could make it work. Because we had been running late, they had to get home to take care of their son, but invited us to their house to discuss- what a nice gesture (especially when we were the jerks for being late)! We went over and they were able to slice and dice our photography package so our photography addition didn't kill our budget. We were at their house for a little over an hour and the photo/video conversation was probably 5% of it. They were just great hosts and it was wonderful to get to know them a little better! We left knowing we made the right choice in who we hired... until we got the pictures back. Then we ABSOLUTELY knew we made the right choice. The pictures came back with quick turnaround and every one seemed to be better than the last. We thought we did pretty good for our first time in front of the camera- turns out it's the people behind the camera that work all the magic. We have a few back and forth a between the engagement shoot and the weeks leading up to the wedding- mostly just any changes or updates to timing. The week before the wedding we had our final call with them where we nailed down the final timeline and the things most important to us to photograph. They had a worksheet we had filled out to assist with this that was super helpful. It also included the family photos we wanted to have taken. They were, as always, calm and friendly during the final call- and we were so excited for the big day! So the day comes and Laura and Stephen are there on time, with bells on, and we are, of course, late (however long you think is enough for hair and makeup, add an hour!). As soon as we got there, I felt rushed because of the lateness but Laura and Stephen kept me calm and insisted we still had plenty of time to remain true to our timeline. Phew. They took my dress and rings and went off to make magic with them. Once she returned, Laura stuck around to get the pictures of the girls helping me dress, final make up touches, and shaking out the nerves. Stephen went off to photograph/video the groomsmen. I won't bore you with the details of the whole day but Laura and Stephen were there shooting for a whole 6 hours of it! They left as the party started (we decided we didn't need photos of everyone getting drunk- that's what the photo booth was for), and my husband and I danced into the night. As the wedding date passed and we enjoyed our honeymoon, smaller details of the day started to escape us. We were so excited to get our pictures back to remember every detail. It took about a month and every single photo is so worth the wait. The photography part seems to go by so fast, but they manage to capture every photo you could want! We made an event out of going through all the photos- it was like reliving the day! We remembered the emotions we felt in those photos- and we laughed and cried all over again. Can you ask for anything more from your photographer? We haven't received the video yet, but my expectations have been set! I cannot wait to see it, and I imagine it will be as wonderful as everything else they do.
