On Trip Advisor, this restaurant had over 230 ratings with a rating of 4.5/5. My wife and I had the Chicken Masala, a chicken curry dish, a cauliflower potato veggie, and a coconut and almond naan- Peshwari Naan. And it was all excellent. Give this restaurant a chance. They have friendly, great service with delicious food. It was a welcome change from the "typical" English food that we had eaten while in London.

The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is okay, pretty standard for Indian food to be honest but a very large choice including a great vegetarian choice. I found the food a little bit too oily when I went the last time although this may have been the dish I had. They are generous with their portions, I remember leaving quite a large amount, good value!

I let Jane and Oli do most of the ordering, since they are regulars and not everything translates into American English and English English the same way. We started with papadum and relish tray, and a couple of Kingfishers (on draft). For the table we ordered pillau rice, naan (2 kinds, but can't remember which 2), and saag paneer. I chose the Hozor Ki Pasandwalla Murghi because I wanted to try to pronounce it, and it's one of Oli's favorites. It's thinner sauce with nice heat and a good amount of peppers, onions, and tomatoes. He chose the Chicken Laknavi, and Jane chose the Chicken Pasanda. Everything was nicely spiced - heat but still flavor. Portions were generous - we probably only needed half as much, but we couldn't resist all the flavors. We were treated to a drink afterwards with our bill, and Bailey's was a perfect digestif with the chocolate. On our way out, we were given a 2019 calendar as a holiday present. I'm looking forward to another delicious and friendly meal when I'm back in Oxford!

Absolutely delicious dinner!…read more We made reservations online about 2 months ago. 5:15 dinner worked well for us since we had a show at 7. We checked in on the lady with the tablet on the right side of the entrance. The left side is for walk ins. Super long line even at 5pm. But they were handing out small glasses of chai and something else. Anyway, the reservation line is short and they sat us right away. We wished we could have sat at the patio - it's covered. We didn't see that until we were already drinking. Well, next time! The ambiance - beautiful spot with lots and lots of tables. Every single one of them was taken. Tons of staff! They take good care of you here. Patrons vary, from dates to family dinners - the whole gamet! Come one, come all! The drinks came out right away. Dishoom IPA and chai. Beer came with a frosted glass. The chai was delicious! The food was amazing! Goan monkfish curry Ruby chicken Saffron cauliflower Garlic naan Basmati rice Everything was superb! He was spot on! I was surprised when we walked into such an upscale type of place. Contemporary dining room with ambiance perfect for a date or families. We actually went on Mother's Day and The Grange was packed full of people taking their Mamas out. I greatly appreciated their breakdown of curries explaining exactly which were spicy and some other details. It helped in my ordering and I ended up getting the Chicken Tikka Masala. I must get back here because it was the best I've ever had in my life! It came with basmati rice and I tried a few other things which are now escaping me. The Grange has a good selection of wines to go with everything which I appreciated greatly. Everything I had was so good and when I'm back in Milton Keynes in a few months, there's no way I'm skipping going to The Grange! Loved it!

We ordered a selection of starters, mains, rice and naan to share and I enjoyed all of it. The mixed starter was a lovely way to try a few different dishes but not be too full before the main courses. There are no pakoras on the menu which I did find a bit disappointing, but it did make us try something else for a change. We ordered a few different dishes (can't remember them all!) but we definitely had both the Butter Chicken and the Garlic Chicken and a Dahl, all were full of flavour and got demolished! The restaurant was clearly very busy, both with sit in diners and take away orders, yet our order was ready about half an hour after we phoned it through. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.
