Nice employees however I had items missing told them nothing happened, had damaged items. No one ever checked back to see if everything was OK. I would of filed a claim or took them to court but the itens didn't exceed my insurance decuctable. Other people in my building had similar issues. I'm glad I didn't let them touch my nonreplaceable itens. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE THIEVES. The guy who was moving our stuff into our apartment stole my engagement ring and then had the audacity to lie to my husband when it's obvious he took it. When we contacted the manager, David, he said he'd look into it and I honestly doubt he did anything but open the truck door and say "Nope not there." I had to file a police report within 2 weeks of me moving to a new state and I never had to in my 23 years of living in California. It was pretty obvious the mover stole it considering it was sitting on my bathroom counter and then right after he used it, suddenly it's gone. Terrible service, no help from the manager, and they hire thieves. Again, DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

Terrible Experience. Never use them!!! Dave verbally promised delivery in 4-5 business days. Our stuff did not arrive for 2 and a half weeks. We tried to connect with him for questions but only his secretary would answer. Paperwork had been altered with a different time frame without Dave ever telling us. He is a liar and will hide from you. Then when he does answer, he will give you some bullshit and say that there was a personal event that Prevented him from answering. He trys to make himself the victim but it's all bullshit. When out stuff did arrive, we had several boxes smashed in and our TV stand had been decimated. Also, the bottom half of my dresser was fucked up and one of our kitchen chairs was broken. read more

My momma always said, if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all. Well, I guess that doesn't apply in reviews, especially this one... Basic points to consider if you are wanting to use these guys: 1.) These guys are 2 to 3 times more expensive than other movers, so if you want a move that will cost you way more without any added benefits, like making your coffee every morning, then go with them. How do I know? I've seen there estimates for my move and coworkers moves and compared them to other vendors that my coworkers ultimately used (I wish I would have) 2.) Online vendors will likely give you a few months of extra storage after your massive move, but these guys will charge you out the nose if you let them, even after telling them you will need storage and try to get an agreed upon rate. 3.) Get everything in writing with these guys. I tried to email David (the son of the owner) to hash out details during my move so I could coordinate the move, but he kept calling and trying to verbally agree to things, and then would alter the paperwork after the fact and add hidden charges. Aside from the cons above, these guys did move my stuff from the Deep South to Iowa...Technically it was United Van Lines that did the move, but thank god they did it through United Van Lines, because once I had to deal with Blue Line moving, it was all a nightmare. To be honest, I have rarely felt with people I'd describe as shysters, but I've never felt more dirty and ripped off than working with this group. In the end, I should have shopped around and used an online company like my coworker did and saved several thousand dollars. Hopefully you do your homework and save yourself a few grand and a lot of headache by avoiding this moving company. read more

These guys were a joke. I called last week to ask about some last minute moving for my mom who was facing a move by herself on a tight time frame. They said they'd have no problem moving her stuff to a storage unit across town. Come moving day (today), they were more than three hours late. When I called to check the status, the woman told me that their first job had taken longer than planned and that they'd try to be over soon. When I asked how that would affect their ability to get everything out of my mother's house, she responded by telling me that the movers were done at 4:30, unless I wanted to pay them overtime. Why should I be forced to pay overtime when they are three-plus hours late to begin with? When I told her this had caused a great inconvenience for my family, she had the nerve to tell me that this was partly my fault for needing movers on such short notice. If they couldn't do the move, they should have said so. I would have gladly picked another day---or better yet, another moving company. In case you're wondering, they finally did show around 2:30P, long past the 10-11A window we agreed upon. They worked for two hours, just long enough to hit the minimum amount of work required, and I wouldn't pay a dime of overtime. To add insult to injury, they damaged our back door, which my mom now has to fix or replace in addition to moving out. In their rush, they were also unable to fit things properly into her storage space and she will now have to pay for additional storage. Blue Line made an already emotionally and financially stressful time in our lives that much worse. Unbelievable. read more

We used Blue Line in May to move into our home. They did an incredible job, the crew arrived on time, the crew chief (David) couldn't have been more accomodating. Because we were a HUGE move, they had to make many trips back to their storage facility in Cedar Falls, yet our move was expeditous and trouble free. They took exceptional care of our stuff (they stored it for us for almost 2 months as we were waiting for our house to become available). The were super careful with unloading and placement of our items and they arranged the furniture to our satisfaction. David even came back the next day to finish putting a few things together and when he left, he loaded up as many of the empty boxes as he could to get them out of the way. That was HUGE help. He even went so far as to help me move around a couple of really heavy things that I decided I wanted to relocate. They are terrific local guys, honest, customer focused and hard working. I would recommend them without reservation. read more

I had called and made the arrangements to have them move me in Waterloo a couple of miles. They told me they could do it the day I wanted but due to the piano it would be a 4 man job. I said ok as we did have alot to move. Took the deposit over to them. Was gonna do it on a credit card. Told me there was a 3% charge when paying with cc. Ok thought only on the deposit but no it would be on the entire move cost. Paid the 3% on deposit(paid balance with check). Guys arrived on time 4 of them. It was like 105 out so very hot. They were great workers and fast. About 20-30 min. later there was only 3 guys. Found out that the 4th guy's daughter was having surgery so he had to leave. About a hour and a half after they got here the 3rd guy went home sick. Owner (manager) came over to get the sick man. He talked with the movers but didn't bother to come inside to explain what was going on. Felt very sorry for the 2 guys left and they continued to work their butts off. About a hour later the owner/manager came back with another guy (got a feeling he was day labor as he didn't really know what he was doing) he talked with the other 2 guys again but didn't come in to tell us anything. One of the original 2 guys told us what was happening. Finally about 2ish a 4th guy showed up. He knew what he was doing and they worked great again. 3rd guy seemed to get sick from the heat but he did help a little. Long story short we ended up paying OT and I don't think it would have happened if we had had the 4 guys the entire time. The workers really were good but management sucked. In their office was a sign about customer service being important. I called around and talked to other movers that normally did do moving and did accept cc but none charged the sur fee. Would I recommend them again? The men doing the moving yes. Management no they were concerned about the bottom dollar. read more
