Location and our server were lovely but dang if they didn't miss the mark on our food. SLOW to get our food and we were one of two tables in the whole place. The bacon on the sandwich was barely cooked and rubbery. I honestly questioned if they forgot to cook it. The salads. Oh man. We ordered two Italian chop chop salads with Balsalmic vinaigrette. First, they showed up drenched in a creamy yellowy dressing. Secondly, they were missing multiple items.... cucumber, mozzarella pearls, chickpeas. It said salami but I swear it was cubed ham. Regardless, we inquired and the kitchen sent out ramekins of cucumber and chickpeas and said they didn't have the items at the time of making our order. Say what?! But five minutes later you have them? You sent out unfinished salads? And still no cheese. read more

I took my wife and daughter here a few weeks ago and it was very good. A sign confused us into taking the back way in (by the bathrooms on the south side). I guess it's tied with Duvall Tavern for the best fish and chips I've had in the valley. Crisp, juicy, good all around. I had a red ale which took a reminder to get, but that was the only slipup in the service. My wife had a burger which was quite good, and my daughter had mini corndogs. She now has more interest in the sweet corn batter than the dog. It wasn't always that way. I would go back for the food and the gorgeous setting, but it's not really my scene. read more

Unfortunately this place has hit rock bottom with service. The setting and restaurant are beautiful, but you may or may not get served. I have been several times over the years, both when service was good, and then baaaad, and then I finally gave up. There appears to be no plan for improvement. Servers look and act like they've been partying all night and consistently show up in ripped up/sloppy attire and poor hygiene. As someone whose worked in the industry, I know there's not a ton of money to be made...but I always found black pants (in good shape) to be easy and cheap to find. While there's no adequate training for staff, they are also pushed to the max with just one bartender and one server running dinner together. All this place needs is caring professional management to make necessary changes, and this place could be awesome. I really do hope they get things turned around. read more

We have been coming to this golf course and Reasturant for over 20 years. New ownership started out rough but really had it stepped up with bar and the Reasturant dialed in to the point we've hosted tournaments with their catering. I wouldn't dare consider that now! The service in the bar and Reasturant has really taken a hit with the newer staff. Were we spoiled with good service? Should we be ok with really poor service just because it's easy to say it might be staffing challenges - no. They have the staff, they are just poor server's with zero hustle or care about customer service to the point we are certainly no longer regulars and think twice if we have the time to just sit around and wait while enjoying the scenery vs taking out business elsewhere. Golf is good/fair but they don't always have staff at the desk that know anything about the game so set your expectations accordingly. Food is good, even with a very limited menu but the service has grown beyond frustrating the last few months. Which is such a shame because we loved coming and spending our dining out dollars locally. read more

As part of a golf course, we frequently forget that the restaurant is always there to enjoy for lunch or dinner. The view from the patio is awesome even if you aren't a golfer. The food is ok and there is a good selection of beers on tap. They even have breakfast on weekends but I've never tried it. Excellent service! We had a younger guy as our server, we sat outside on a Sunday afternoon. It was really nice, great drinks with real fruit. I ordered a raspberry ice tea and the raspberry ginger vodka lemonade both were excellent. For an appetizer we ordered the prime skewers and the meat was juicy and flavorful. For entrees my boyfriend ordered the Cobb salad which I would highly recommend, it was loaded with toppings. I ordered the club sandwich which was very good but in the future I would ask for the bacon crispy but other than that no complaints! Will definitely be back. We've only visited once, but we'll be back. The place is out of the way, but the drive was worth the effort. Our food was DEFINATELY worth the drive! We went for brunch on a dreary Sunday morning. We didnt' have the highest expectations mostly due to the weather I think. We entered the building and were immediately greeted by the Pro Shop guy who directed us into the restaurant. We had a GREAT seat with an awesome view of the course. The menu was fun, the specials were actually specials, and the staff was warm and fun. I went with the steak and eggs, which I never order BTW. WOW, was my first response in seeing the plate. The steak was perfectly MR, the eggs were also perfect, which is rare to find. Everything was well beyond our expectations. What we thought was going to be a great place to hang out this summer has now tuned into a disappointment. They drastically changed the menu - gone are the wonderful buffalo wings, the delicious club sandwich and the Blue Heron burger has a bacon jam on it which was not appealing. They changed their happy hour by reducing the food choices and unfortunately they have lost their focus. We live nearby so we thought we could enjoy HH or dinner in a lovely setting but we really have not enjoyed the food lately. We had a shrimp and crab salad that we could tell was bad as soon as the waitress put it down and the prime rib lacks flavor. If we try it again we will reset our expectations the view from the deck is wonderful. read more

Told by front desk and waitress that kitchen was CLOSED. 40 minutes before listed on their website/yelp on a Beautiful clear and sunny night. Planned to eat here and hit the driving range after. Saw 3 tables still seated outside on the patio. Drove out from Redmond to have dinner here and enjoy sitting on their nice deck. Embarrassing they allow the kitchen staff to close the kitchen on a nice summer night over 40 minutes early! We had lunch here the other day and was very disappointed , the cocktails were very expensive! The fish and chips were way overcooked, and for the price of their cajun chicken pasta you got VERY little pasta. They had no air conditioning in the inside. I don't understand why restaurants don't understand they would get more business if they had air conditioning and didn't charge so much for food that is cheap to make. They are only suppose to charge three times what it costs them to make it, this place was about 10 times what it costs them to make it. read more

I went there for the 1st time with a friend and ordered their special prime rib $35 Not a badd price I asked what came with it he said a big potato and a salad I did not get a solid my prime rib was more fat than meat the service was horrible . When we mentioned to the waiter that our food was overcooked and there was so much fat that you couldn't find the meat he looked at us and walked away brought us our bell it was a horrible experience I spent so much money and left hungry and miserable do not recommend for anybody read more

I'm sorry that I can't echo all of the other glowing reviews here (which I think suffer from the "locals inflation" we see with many Valley restaurants), but the poor service we experienced here outweighed the notable positives. We (2 adults and 4 kids) arrived around 10:50 a.m. on a Sunday, hoping we could still get breakfast, as the menu says breakfast is served until 11. There was plenty of room, and the facilities are very nice by any standard. After seating ourselves, we waited several minutes for our waiter, then asked if breakfast was still available. While it was still before 11, he said no. So we switched gears and ordered lunch instead. We all ordered lunch entrees, and we added an order of the lamb/beef meatball appetizers for the table. Three of the kids ordered sodas, and thus began our service problem: randomly, two were delivered in their bottles, while the third was delivered in a glass with ice, with no explanation for the difference. Next, the meatballs were delivered. We had no silverware, and no napkins. When I pointed this out to our server, he came back with two napkins -- for a table of six -- and no silverware. The rest of our food was delivered, with one order wrong (chicken burger was ordered, chicken strips delivered). As we tried to start eating, our server swung by and noted that he'd forgotten our silverware. I pointed out that we would need more than the two napkins, as well. He returned with a few more napkins (still not enough), but no silverware, and ran off. The next time he swung by, he noted again that he'd forgotten the silverware, laughed, and went off again. In the end, we were left to eat all by hand (so none of our slaw was or could be eaten). We never did get silverware. The food generally was good, although inconsistent. In particular, the meatball appetizers were somewhat undercooked. As with the random drink-in-a-glass, other things were random as well. Five of us had fries with our meals, but we were given widely-varying amounts, and only one of us was given a small bowl of ketchup on the plate. Overall, the facility is very nice, the setting is very pretty, and the food was mostly quite good. However, the service ruined our first visit to Blue Heron, and it's hard to imagine subjecting ourselves to that again. read more

Went there for Mother's Day brunch and were disappointed. $35 a person plus 18% gratuity and tax plus 1 Mimosa (shared between the two of us) for $7 came out to $92. Staff was friendly but food was mediocre especially for non-meat eaters. French toast was cold and unappetizing looking. Some foods were ok like potatoes and the fruit plate but several food items were cold. They ran out of bacon and had to send out for more. Meanwhile, there was none available when we were eating. One of our party had the smoked salmon Benedict which had little bones in it. Maybe the best items were the freshly cooked eggs and omelets. Dessert was pitiful. Danish cut in half and little pieces of pound cake. We will never go there for brunch again. The 3 stars are for the staff, 1 star for the food for the price. read more

This place used to be great. They have done something horrible to it. The menu has all changed. Prices are higher, but the quality is lower. Instead of huge juicy calamari steaks, served on a tower, with three fancy sauces, we now have tiny rings all soaked in oil and served with mayo from a jar. Lamb burger is gone. The beef burger was way overcooked for medium. Instead of Gazpacho they served up leftover salsa. The service was also very slow. Will not go back unless they make drastic changes. read more

Continues to be hit-or-miss. My wife and I have eaten there at least 6 times and can't seem to get two good meals. One or the other is just not very good. Today my wife's French Dip was excellent, but my Reuben was quite poor. The corned beef was sliced about 1/4 inch thick and had two sizeable chunks of fat in it. (First time I've ever had a Reuben where the beef wasn't thinly sliced. ) Being thick-sliced (and sliced WITH the grain) made the beef very tough. After a 20 minute fire alarm scare, I was ready to relax. After trying to order the smoked salmon scramble (they were out of smoked salmon) I ordered some kind of weird breakfast sandwich.
