The Downtown Location is owned by the franchisees that own Ferndale and Farmington. Two women who have found a niche. I painted during the Grand Opening event this week. The set up is BYOB wine and they provide the paint and canvas. You would be surprised how great you will back with a little bit of wine. The golden rule is never drink the paint water and no paint brushes in the wine. If you've ever painted there then you will get the joke. The area is spacious and they have a TV monitor for you to follow along in case you need to see close up. At least 40 people can fit into a class. The class offerings are changed monthly and a sneak peek is given via Facebook on the 15th of the month. The instructors walk you through creating your on painting that is preselected. The cool thing is that many are artists themselves, so you are learning from a real painter. Parking is on the street, which is metered parking. Classes are $35-$45 for public and private classes. You can book a private party with your friends/family. I enjoy painting and you also get points when registering online.

I came here today after going with a social group that I belong too. This place has been open for…read moretwo years, and they are super fun to do projects with. While I'm not an artsy person, I did have a good time. Walking in, the studio is clean and well organized. Plenty of tables to sit at and they provide tools to work with depending on the size of your group. I'm sure you could go at it alone, but I'm not 100% sure. After a bit of socializing, we eventually sat down and one of the owners went through the glass making process and how things work. She also went over the tools and how to use them. She also told us about how certain colors, depending on how you layer them, may not show up. This way we can make a project that comes out just the way we like! The instructions went on for about 40 minutes but it seemed like there was some ground to cover, which I understand. I didn't take terribly long to assemble my project which ended up being a glass flower on a sun catcher thing. Their prices start at $35 for a sun catcher or a night light. They have huge dishes you can make for $120 and several other sizes of projects in between. You have to leave the project for them to fire it in their glass kiln and they'll text you when it's done. Overall, it was a great experience. I wouldn't recommend it for kids (to advanced and working with tools) but for adult birthday parties, get togethers or any setting really.

This place only cares about their benefit and from what I gathered from my two hour class, they are trying to take advantage of any new clients and they do not truly want their customers to advance within glass art. They want to get their paycheck and do the bare minimum as a company. I would not feel safe bringing anyone to this store, especially kids.
