Extremely Disappointed - Consistent Lack of Professionalism and Accountability I submitted not one, but two separate call-back requests for an auto loan inquiry. On the first attempt, Mary Sowers assured me I'd receive a call within 15 minutes -- a promise that was completely ignored. No call. No follow-up. No explanation. It's as if my request vanished into thin air. Apparently, being a paying customer doesn't warrant the basic courtesy of a response -- maybe Monopoly money is all they see from us. Hoping for better service, I submitted a second request, only to have Ashley Cordie repeat the same dismissive pattern. She showed zero ownership and no urgency. My follow-up email was left unanswered. This experience reflects a disturbing pattern of indifference -- not just from individual bankers but from an operation that seems to have forgotten that the customer should be at the center of everything. By the time I make a third attempt, it might as well be Doomsday Afternoon, because at this rate, I'm more likely to hear from the end of the world than from anyone at this institution. I will never work with either banker again, and I will strongly caution others to reconsider trusting a team that can't even return a simple phone call. read more

Lost my debit card, and called BECU, thinking I would have to wait seven to 10 days or longer for a new one. Imagine my joy when told I could make an appt & get a new one, same day, in 10 minutes! I was a victim of identity theft with monies transferred from my checking account. Blue Eagle's employees were vere concerned and helpful in iniating investigation and recalling all of my money from the fraudulent account and re deposited in my checking account in only 48 hours, and assisted me with re-establishing a new account, order replacement checks , and new debit cards , Thank You very muchduring difficult time !!!!! read more

I realize safety is important but I have had more trouble with this bank as a travelling employee. I've gotten stuck overseas and my card wouldn't work and had to wait till they open on Monday. Nothing is easy to use. No 24 hour help. Stop transactions all the time. Small withdrawal limits even after you call in and have them change it. I have been so frustrated with his bank. The employees are very ngice and helpful when you call, but who wants to have to call your bank constantly? Especially while waiting in lines at store and having your card decline even when you have plenty of money to pay for it. read more

I have been with Blue Eagle for two years for an auto loan. Since Covid19, I found out they were offering "Covid relief" and the last day before my job was closing for awhile (due to the pandemic) I called to find out how they could help me. They said that they normally didn't do it, but they could offer me 3 months of skip payment (Apr-Jun) which I thought was really awesome. So I did it filled out paperwork signed it email that back and was told everything was done. About mid April I start getting phone calls that I need to call as soon as possible and I did and they're wanting to know why I haven't made my April payment. I politely told them about the agreement I filed out figuring they got something mixed up, and emailed them a copy of what I signed AND the person who helped me set it up. THEY WOULD NOT HONOR IT!!! NOT ONLY did they not honor it, but they acted like I might have rigged the document or something because "they would never do something like that". One of the staff, Heather, was super nice and the only good thing they had going for them, but I will be refinancing as soon as possible. There is no way I could ever trust them again since they don't keep their word and followed through with actually SIGNED AGREEMENTS. BEWARE!!!! read more

I have been banking with what used to be Roanoke Postal Employee Federal Credit Union since I was 14 years old. Back then the bank was like family...then they switched to Blue Eagle Credit Union and it hasn't been the same. Most recently I decided to finance a new car with them upon approval they mailed out a $23k check via regular mail (who mails out a check for that amount regular mail)?!?!? The next day I went to the dealership and they offered me a better deal if I financed through them. I decided to take the deal assuming the check had been overnighted and when received it could simply be overnighted back to their office. I was so wrong! Now 10 days later the check still has not come in the mail. I called Blue Eagle to try to put a stop payment on the check and they have refused stating that I would be responsible for any interest that accrues. When I asked them why they didn't send the check certified they indicated they would refuse to pay for such an expense. I told her that it should be an option to offer customers for instances such as this. Now due to their incompetence and/or greediness I am responsible for any interest that accrues?!? After 23 years with this bank I am sorry to say I am done! UNACCEPTABLE!!! read more
