I wanted to have a medication free birth with midwives after having an induction with my first but I was under the assumption that I would be given ALL of the information. As soon as I gave birth to my 10 lb baby, the midwife remarked, "Well we knew he was going to be a big baby!" Who knew? Because I certainly didn't , I even asked how large he was measuring the day before I went into labor when I had my ultrasound and was told they could not disclose that information to post term pregnancies (I was 41 weeks). When just a few days prior, I was told he was only expected to be around 7-7.5 lbs at birth. Worse yet was when I brought up my birth trauma at my 6 week appointment, instead of taking responsibility for their malpractice, I was gaslit and told that it's just the risk when you have a big baby. NEVER was I informed of the risks of having a big baby, let alone that there was a chance of my baby being big. They said I had a lazy uterus and make it seem like it was my fault that my children almost lost their mother and that I had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. So I beg you, for your safety and for your family to choose a hospital that offers midwives over a facility that is ill equipped to handle these very real emergencies. They love to boast about their 2% transfer rate, maybe I was just "lucky" enough to be transferred before dying in bed while they were tending to another laboring mother in the next room over. I just wonder about the woman who may not be so lucky next time.

My daughter's birth was everything I wanted, and more, God answered so many prayers. All my decisions were respected during, and after birth, and also the medical decisions I made for my child were respected. I never felt any pressure to do anything I didn't want to do for myself or my baby. Also, they would inform me of every thing they did to my body or to my baby. I love the birth center! 10/10.

I had not been to see Dr Michael Schexnayder since 2012. I recently made an appointment to get a…read morepap test. I arrived one hour before my appointment and went to the mammogram center. The receptionist i encountered was an angel. She told me I did not need an appointment, I filled out the forms and had my mammogram done in a total of 27 minutes! Everyone who helped me was upbeat, sweet and showed me such interest in helping me accomplish my mission. My primary care doctor had begged me for years to get a mammogram, but I could never get an appointment so that my husbsnd could drive me. I am disabled in such a way that I need a walker to get around and I have trouble driving when my right knee goes out. After my mammogram we went up to Dr. Schexnayder's office where I met Raven, his adorably sweet receptionist. I filled out the forms and the nurse Danielle (spelling??) who prepared me for my checkup was funny, sweet and her personality made me want to know her more. My whole expetience with Dr. Schexnayder was pleasant snd informing. I felt totally at ease I did make a suggestion that they put happy face buttons on the examining room ceilings to give us women something to look at. Thank you everyone, I promise I will be back every year from now on and I pray God blesses all of your lives as you blessed mine that day!

This was my first year getting my mammogram done at this facility and I really liked how efficient…read morethey were. To begin with there's plenty of parking. It was nice not having to drive around and look for a parking spot or have to park a mile away. There's also hardly a wait time anywhere. There were enough receptionists so I didn't wait to get checked in and then I think I only waited 4 or 5 min. in the waiting area and then the mammographer came and got me. The room was very clean and she was really nice and efficient. I liked being able to get in and out.

Dr. Elizabeth Buchert is very knowledgeable and thorough in the care. I am 51 y/o and…read morepost-menopausal. She has already helped me find the root cause of many of the problems I have been experiencing. She ordered several lab test that my PCP and others providers have never thought to order. Before seeing her, I was eating a strict organic vegetarian diet but losing very little weight. After seeing Dr. Buchert, she has diagnosed me with insulin resistance and Hashimoto's disease, hormonal imbalances, and several vitamin and nutrient deficiencies. She has formulated a plan to address all my issues which includes medication, supplements, and a different nutrition plan. I was feeling so hopeless about my weight and overall health. I cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Buchert, midwife Miranda and the rest of the Mint Health staff. I love coming here, it's always a positive experience. I started seeing Dr. Buchert for my ob/gyn care several years ago. When she transitioned her practice to include functional wellness I knew that I wanted to see her for this as well. I became a functional wellness patient in May. My successes with this program are small and may be hard to detect from the outside. But I live in this body and I can tell you I feel awesome! I look forward to using the skills I learned and information I received during this process in the future.
