This office staff is as unprofessional and incompetent as they come. Although they advertise on…read moretheir website that they accept LaChip Affordable--and we called them to confirm this before deciding to go with them--one day before our child's wellness check-up for vaccinations, they called to tell us that they don't accept Medicaid. We spent the next two days on the phone with Amy G., Lindsey, and Dawn getting the run around, expecting us to do their jobs for them because they were unwilling to help a "Medicaid" kid. We then informed them that several of the insurance providers they claim to accept have no record of any current contracts with this practice. At each appointment, we spent 30 minutes or more waiting past our scheduled appointment time. Sadly, they just do not care about their patients and want nothing to do with any children they think are low-income. They're terrible at their jobs and no one in the office, not even the office manager, knows anything. We tried to speak with Dr. Rodger Elofson about the issue but, alas, he was on a cruise and has never once returned our calls.

I did not meet her until right after my son was born. I wasn't sure about her at first. She is a tiny, lovely woman who dresses like she lives in a Talbots store. When I first saw her I guess I was worried that she would be stuck up or hard to talk to. I was so wrong. Dr. Katzenmeyer is super easy to talk to and is very friendly. She is also very knowledgeable and always listens to my opinions/concerns and takes me seriously. My son loves her as well, which is always nice. Her office has always gotten us in when we needed a work in (which is frequently! I take that boy to the doctor like it's going out of style). Her nurse Susan is fantastic, too. I can't recommend her highly enough.

My husband did turn out great, right? :-) I am very pleased with this office. All of the pediatricians and nurses are very friendly and helpful. I cannot begin to say how many times I have called with what may be a silly question, but I am always comforted and given great advice about what I should do for my child. The one things that I would suggest is that if your pediatrician isn't there and you are getting assigned to another pediatrician check with your insurance company to make sure that they are covered. I didn't do this and I ended up having to pay out of network fees because my regular pediatrician wasn't in. The Pediatric Clinic has opened a new location by the new Woman's Hospital.

Dr. Gulino has been my older child's pediatrician for 3 years and my younger child's since birth, 1…read moreyear. She is terrific and makes both sick and well visits easy and informative. I always go in with a list of questions and she's never seemed rushed to leave without answering them. She's even patient with addressing concerns about the child whose visit it isn't. The reason for the 3 stars is that We saw one other physician right after my younger child was born and had a completely different experience. That physician was gruff and short and I felt I was annoying her with my questions regarding my then 2 day old infant. They also billed us the wrong amount - actIlly changing the CPT code after the fact to a higher charge. It took a months to get to the bottom of that but eventually the office manager at the time refunded our money. Their office policies can be frustrating but understandable that they require payment before seeing the doctor. I will however never see another doctor there and if Dr. Gulino ever left we'd find a new provider at a different facility. The nurses are also hit or miss as to how they act. I have seen some smoking outside the building which bothered me greatly but luckily we've never had one enter the exam room smelling like smoke. Dr. Gulino and the triage nurse are also both very responsive to emails.

Dr. Arbour and his team are extremely professional and very accommodating. Had an appointment with Dr. Caroline Sowell at 1:00 PM. I arrived 15 min early as it's normally…read moreasked. At 1:10 I was brought to the back; much to my surprise, the back area was very dark including the examination room; only a few lights by the nurse station were on. Very dark, I had never been in a doctor's office so dark. In the examination room, the technician did the eye exam and put dilating drops in my eyes. She then left. At around 1:40, I Heard Dr. Sowell introduced herself to a patient in a room adjacent to mine which made me realize that it would take several more minutes to come see me. I had to pick up my grandson from school and realizing I'd be late if I would wait to see the doctor, I left. At around 2:10 I received a call from the technician asking me where I was which led me to believe that it wasn't until then that they went into the room where I was and find out I wasn't anymore. I explained the situation to her and she said that the doctor had a patient ahead of me and I had to wait for the drops to take effect, a fact I was not told, but she did tell me that I should've been told by the front people or I should've known. Not pleased with my first and last experience with Dr. Sowell.
