CSA: Geelong got cool. I don't know when it happened, but I can assure you it wasn't cool for the first 18 years of my life. But now there's fancy restaurants! Craft beer! They have a Little Creatures for goodness sake! And now they've entered the 'cool, industrial, secret suburb cafe' realm - congratulations Geetown!
Blue Door is shiny and new and is quite literally what it says - behind a big blue door. In the slightly sophisticated suburb of Newtown, Blue Door Espresso has opened up in the art deco building on the corner of Cumberland Street and Aberdeen street, where an art deco building (formerly a butchers) has been standing for the past billion years.
The coffee is Seven Seeds, and apparently the only cafe in all of Geelong that has the privilege to serve that fancy bean. While my coffee-drinking pals felt their coffee wasn't warm enough, I thought the temp was perfect and allowed me to get that caffeine in my veins as fast as possible.
