New owners. No business name, just Car Wash on sign. Went in to have truck waxed. Charged $65 for a wax when in fact, it was only polish. The worst part was that after they added polish, they ran it through the car wash and washed it all off! This is not normal waxing and I expressed that to them. They didn't want to hear it. The amazing thing is that they even have the Google suggestion of waxing on a sign in their lobby that says you DO NOT wash the car after it has been waxed for at least a week to 10 days. I asked to get a refund or to actually have my truck waxed and they told me to leave or I would be arrested. These people are nothing but scammers. They didn't even do a good job with the polish. It looked disgusting on my truck smeared and all uneven. Clearly they did not care about making a customer satisfied. I did not feel I was asking too much. I just wanted what I paid for. I'm not that guy, but I will continue to post about this horrible business for at least a year everywhere I possibly can to warn other potential customers. They vacuumed everything and washed my mats! Guys were scrubbing my wheels, stained with brake pad dust. I stopped them. To scrub my wheels would have been wrong. I went here on Saturday at 4:45pm for a standard car wash. My car is only four months old but it needed to be washed. They close at 5 PM. I didn't know that when I pulled in. I got the basic wash which includes running through the car wash, drying it off and vacuuming the interior. Nothing special. It was $25. Yes, full service car washes are more expensive than they used to be. I can remember getting it done for $10 and then you add a tip. Those times have long gone. I was surprised when 10 minutes after pulling in they said our car was ready. There were still some wet areas so I said nope, not quite ready, things still need to be dried. 10 minutes. But I have to say, my car was clean! The inside was clean! The sand from the beach in the back of my SUV, clean. Once I got in, I noticed there were still some bug remnants on the windshield, so I got out, grabbed a rag, and started getting those spots off myself. Keep in mind, they were closing. It was starting to sprinkle. Yes, I know it seems silly to wash your car when it's clearly going to rain, but my car needed to be washed! When the manager saw that I was working on my own car, he came over with a rag and started helping me. There was still a good amount of bug debris on the front grill and fender and spoiler below the fender, but again, basic wash. Bug removal is generally more. Between the two of us, we got most of it off. I see a lot of reviews here that they're terrible. They're not terrible. They're not fancy. But my car was clean! We went back yesterday to wash my partner's truck, but unfortunately, they're closed on Sunday. Or at least they were closed by the time we got there. For as few full service car washes as there are where they not only run it through the car wash, but also dry it and vacuum it, it's a decent value. It's not even close to my house. We had driven across country from Oregon and desperately needed a wash. They seemed ok from the outside and online info. We were met at the sign and told them what service we wanted. They took the keys and we went in to pay. You can watch your vehicle as it goes through the process. It comes out and they dry it off. The truck still had dirty spots and they didn't do a good job inside. I showed them and they wiped them but I shouldn't have to be Quality Control for their business. I went for my free car wash today. Buy 9 and get one free. When I presented my card with 9 validated washes I was told they don't honor those anymore. I had a coupon for a free car wash with no expiration date and they wouldn't honor it!! I was getting my vehicles washed there for years, and about three times a year, I would get a hand wax. The last time I got a wax, one of their employees was using a buffer on my car. I asked him not to use it. He said it was a new product that had to be applied with a buffer first. As time went on after the wax, buffer marks covered most of my black trim. When I asked the manager, he said he'd remove them for $30. I asked him why I had to pay for something his employee did. He said I don't know you, and I've never seen this car. That was a bold-faced lie. I tried to ask him if I could get the car washed since I was already there, but he asked me to leave. What a rude man! CROOKS & COWARDS- The day before Mother's Day, May 13th, my husband treated me to a full detail, or at least paid for one. We pulled in, spoke to the owner Joe about a full detail. Joe ensured my husband he'd do a great job and took us to the register to pay $285 for a full service detail, their top package. We were told it would be about 3 hours. We were called at 3PM and told the car is ready. We came to pick up the car and the car was not ready. I pointed out several things not done and they apologized saying I was called by mistake. Fair enough, mistakes happen. I then left the car and they called again 2 hours later, just as they were closing for the day and said the car is done. I came to pick up the car only to see a car wash and interior wipe down at best. They didn't even shampoo the carpets, didn't lift mats to vacuum, and there was still dirt inside on the dash. These were the obvious things I quickly saw and pointed out. The owner Joe apologized again and asked me to come back tomorrow, Mother's Day. He said he'd personally redo it himself and would make it right. I told him I can't come back tomorrow and he said he's here Monday at 8AM. I said I have to work so can't bring it in then either. I called that week to speak to Joe and he was not available. I was specifically told he went to Home Depot. I asked to set up an appointment to bring the car back but was told by the cashier (I believe his wife) that I'd need to talk to Joe and that she couldn't help me. I called back several other times, only for them to not pick up the phone. (Thanks caller ID) WOW, These cowards were really avoiding doing the right thing. I was polite and just wanted them to do what we paid for. Nothing more. I'm very busy with work and couldn't get back there in person to leave my car for another 3+ hours until this morning, June 10th. I pulled in and I politely asked if Joe was in and was told yes. I was asked what this was in regards to, so I told them. The guy comes back 30 seconds after walking behind closed doors and says Joe must have went to lunch. Apparently, Joe is refusing to come out to speak to me. At this point, this was unexpected based on my first encounter with Joe. I was obviously getting the runaround so I told them I would leave my car parked in the bay until he came out. I went into the office to speak to the cashier, the same one there the day they took our $285 and the same one that took my phone calls and said she was unable to help. She claimed the same thing, she was unable to help, and that Joe stepped out. I asked her to call Joe, she said she doesn't have a phone number for him. I told her that I would sit and wait as this was unacceptable. I wanted either a portion refunded back to me for the service that I paid but didn't receive or for them to do the job correctly. About 15 minutes later, the sheriff arrived. This coward, called the sheriff because he was not going to come out and speak to me, nor was he going to refund any portion of the money for services paid but not completed. I politely spoke to the Sheriff and explained what happened. Unfortunately, those that do the right thing, never have rights. While the sheriff agreed that this is no way to do business, and that he himself would be very upset as well, he was just doing his job and asked me to leave. I obviously understood that and left. As I was trying to leave, I saw Joe and what appeared to be possibly an additional owner. I proceeded to call Joe a coward and said this is no way to do business. Their response was, "it's a month later" ... Again, wow. You had five hours to do the job correctly and failed. Because of your failure and my inability to be available for my car to sit around for hours, I am penalized and was ripped off. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED HERE. They suck and are terrible people that don't deserve your hard earned money. read more

Missed spots on rims and tires. Paid extra for the RainX and the guy put in on wrong so it didn't work. He applied straight to the windshield and wiped off. The proper way is to put RainX on an applicator then put on windshield in a circular motion. Then when it dries to a haze, wipe of with a clean towel or rag. Wont be back read more

Today I went to the formerly known Blue Dolphin Car Wash. Now newly named Car Wash on the 5th. I dropped off my van and at the time there was only 1 other vehicle being serviced before mine. I have a 15 passenger van. I asked for the works which is a $30.98 value. I used to go there when it was Blue Dolphin and they would charge an up charge for over sized vehicles. However today I wasn't informed that they could not give me quality cleaning for my vehicle. When I went back and spoke with the owner he said you can't expect me to clean 100% for $30. He turned and walked away from me. I am not a picky person when it comes to cleaning my vehicles, but they left trash still in my van. It was not vacuumed correctly and I still had to finish cleaning it myself. Not a way to start a business. read more

The staff here did me a really huge favor- by cleaning my disgusting car for me to make it look brand new again, and therefore help me improve my quality of life while living in such a tragic place. I do not have covered parking where I live, so my car was covered in pine sap, and for only an additional $30 fee, they managed to remove almost all of it, which would have taken me an entire day or more with limited results. When you drive up, they start vacuuming your car immediately and the salesperson will come up to you to recommend a service and give you the best deal- they are really down to earth and are out to give you the best price possible. Which caused some shock to me because I am used to vague weirdness with anything having to do with a car. None of that here. The best time to bring your car in is on Sunday morning, because it is not as crowded during that time. Expect to spend 1-2 hours here waiting if you are getting a full detail. For some reason I never mind the wait because the customers, cleaning process, and carwash are so entertaining. The indoor waiting areas have AC and are quite comfortable. Depending on if you want a wash (around $15-20) or a full detail with hand wax and wash (about $40)- it takes time. Sadly it seems that recently they lost a few of their regular and very good employees... I usually love this place and their work but after having my vehicle washed there recently the job was definitely not up to a 28$ car wash. Usually they take awhile to wipe my vehicle clean and spray the tires with shine but this time it took a total of 5 minutes to wipe down a 4 door jeep. Certain areas of my car were not vacuumed out either and water was literally dripping everywhere when they were "finished" wiping it down. I had to wipe the water from all of the door jams after leaving and also re-vacuum the parts they missed. The female older woman that runs the register isn't ever friendly and doesn't really care about whether you're happy or not with the service here. If she's an owner she should be kinder to her patrons. Hope they bring back the other guys that were extremely nice and also did a really wonderful job when taking in your car and also the other guys finishing up the job superbly at the end of the wash experience! Bottom line, new workers or new owners have made this place not my favorite any longer. read more

Took a gamble on this place since there are very few recent reviews. But did I lose out. Dropped my vehicle off before noon. First was told there was an up-charge for an SUV; fine. But $225?!? Are you kidding? Better be the best detailing job ever. Wasn't. Was told it would take 2hrs. Ok, I left to have lunch and came back at 3p. Still not finished! Asked how much longer and was told "15mins." Wasn't. OVER AN HOUR LATER, was finally "done" after 4pm! Truly one of the lousiest jobs I've seen. Roadside charity washes have done better in far less time. Caked wax around the trim, door jambs, hood, etc. White lint all over my black seats and dash. Love bug debris still in the grille and on the bumper. My floor mats were piled up in the back (which I had to find myself) and the carpets were barley touched; still had dirt & white dog hairs (on black carpet) all over. Cargo area was hardly touched. I can deal with expensive. I can deal with taking forever. I can deal with a lousy job. But ALL 3??? Never again. read more

I have been a Blue Dolphin customer for over 10 years but today will be my last visit. In past visits, there were two lines to enter, and cars were taken in equally. Today, same two lanes, but for some reason, 5 cars went from the right lane and I sat for 15-20 minutes. I was given a lame excuse that only one vacuum worked. When I asked the clerk inside for some adjustment to be made on price, she acted as if the delay was my fault. Seriously??? Finally got the car... rims were still filthy from brake dust, floor mats were dirty, paper pieces still on floor and coffee drips still on console. I could find no manager,and didn't feel like going Round 2 with the ever pleasant Vivian. I decided my next option would be to take my business elsewhere.
