After Himalaya worked with my general contractor for 4 months to finalize my backyard deck rebuild,…read moreincluding quotation, and thought they would be commencing within a week as one partner felt they had the time to do the job, informed at the last minute that they were all booked up for the balance of 2019 until June 2020. After 30 years our roof was in very bad shape. I patched several areas myself but I was not…read morecomfortable working on some of the steeper areas, and roofing is hard work for someone my age. So, I began my hunt for a roofing company. I ended up phoning about eight or so firms. I got their contact information from the Better Business Bureau because I was nervous about dealing with a contractor. Some of them said they were too busy to take on my small job, others didn't even bother calling me back. Two actually came over to look at the job and make a quote. The very first one was Himalaya. The sales person was young and personable and very straight forward about the job. He didn't just rattle off a sales pitch but explained clearly and patiently the work his company would do. The very next day he emailed me a quote. In fact, every time I needed to speak with him, or get more information, he responded promptly and explained everything in full. We eventually signed with Himalaya, and are very glad we did. The workers showed up early in the morning of the day they were due to start and within a short amount of time had the old roof off and the new one on. Most of the work was done the first day, but they sent the crew back for part of a second day to finish up and clean up. The cleanup was meticulous. They left no sign their work other than a solid, professionally installed roof. The final invoice matched the salesman's initial quote virtually to the penny. I am so pleased that I used this firm and would use them again without hesitation, but since I have only one roof, I'm passing this information on to you.
