I had the best stay at Salty Pear. The hosts are amazing and…read morehelpful. The studio has a great feel. it has the clean and minimalistic vibe but at the same time it's rustic and cozy. Theres a lot of light coming to the studio through the windows and outside everything is green - felt great to wake up to that. And talking of sleeping, it's awesome to go to bed listening to the frogs and waking up listening to the birds. Sauna is amazing. Easy to use and powerful. There's also plenty of space between sauna and the studio, just grass and fruit-trees, which feels like your own piece of land. There's a fireplace on your patio and the shower never runs out of hot water. Location is also everything. It's close enough to the centre - a 10mins pleasant walk. But its secluded enough not to hear any cars or city noises and feel like you're somewhere in the countryside and on your own. You feel special, and spoiled with all that;) Thank you Salty Pear and Annika. We will definitely be back!

When I want to send my mind and memory to it's happy place, I send it on a vacation here: 2 beautiful rooms with private bathrooms and a fireplace with the most breathtaking views and spectacular sunsets; big yummy homemade breakfasts with our chatty and very friendly hosts; a hot tub for late night dips under the stars; and deer munching on the grounds made Salt Spring the best mini-vacay I've taken in ages! Whether you want to be left alone or entertained with a lifetime of stories from Bill and Edward, this has been the best bed and breakfast experience I've had to date!

Shirley always makes great breakfasts (her eggs Benedict, sausage pie, pea meal bacon and ginger scones are my favorites) and the different rooms I've stayed in here have all been very comfortable. The king size room has a microwave, TV, mini fridge, huge soaker tub, sauna and is enormous. The rates are the best on the Island, ranging from $45 for a single to $95 for the king. there's a beautiful little pond and creek and a gorgeous gazebo and hot tub. It's near Vesuvius at the north of the Island. you gotta stay here- it's delightful and great value. And you'll love Shirley.

My boyfriend and I are not B&B goers. We're private and generally prefer to stick to our selves, especially on vacation. But we were on a budget this summer and wanted to stay on Saltspring without breaking our budget, so we decided to try out the BG. Jason and Josh went out of their way to pick us up, provide byciles and advice about visiting the island. They were genuinely happy hosts that truly enjoyed the company of their guests, yet were respectful of our privacy. I'm convinced we found the best B&B in North America!
