She wanted to see what styles we might have had in mind so she could start thinking about what to pull. When we arrived, the space felt clean and open. There were many dresses and the staff were all very friendly and offered us a seat and water as we waited for Bea to finish her previous appointment. When Bea came, she was so friendly! It felt like no matter what that she was going to add more sparkles to your day and it truly did feel like she was there to help us. She was very professional in kicking us off by introducing herself then asking me what I was looking for and took some notes. Then started whisking some dresses and us into the dressing room. She was very efficient in helping me in and out of dresses and even giving helpful thoughts on dresses as she continued learning what I might like or not like. I didn't feel like she would try to sell me a dress if I didn't love a dress and if she didn't think it let me feel my best. There were lots of dresses on the floor and they had more somewhere nearby in a warehouse. She was quickly diving in and out to try to find some more options for us. While I didn't find my dress on this visit, there were many beautiful dresses even if they were not my style or size at times. I was also a bit doubtful on how I would feel as I tried dresses on but Bea was so supportive throughout it all that it feels like you're shopping with a very knowledgeable friend. The experience itself with Bea does make me hopeful I can find something with them and I am going to try to visit again when I'm back in town. It seems like they get a lot of inventory in an ongoing flow. Also, big thank you to the team at Tulle in general! They were so friendly from beginning to end. I was a bit oblivious and didn't realize they had closed at one point but they were still so kind, welcoming, and patient. I decided to book here because I had just been with my best friend while she shopped for her wedding dress, and the options were truly insane. Renee worked with her too, and she looked absolutely beautiful and found the one right then and there, so I specifically asked to book my appointment with him. He studied fashion, and it truly shows. Going in, I had a clear vision of the silhouette and style I wanted, so we pulled dresses that fit that idea. Renee then asked if I'd be open to trying one more that he thought would really suit me -- and he was right. It ended up being the dress, designed by Tulle themselves. I was really into the Hayley Paige, boho look, but boy was I wrong. The style terrible on me... and I was disappointed that my idea of a dream dress just wasn't going to be work. Cue Colleen... we immediately started trying on different styles. I probably should have mentioned I had a tough crowd to please, my nana, mom and sister were all there to give their seal of approval. After a few just OK reactions from the bride squad, I put a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown with detachable sleeves. I had messaged the store through Facebook ahead of time asking about specific dresses I'd seen on their social media, and every single time, I got a reply. No delays, no radio silence--just helpful, friendly responses. A couple of days before my appointment, I received an email from my consultant asking for photos of dresses I liked. We ended up having a back-and-forth conversation that lasted all afternoon, which made me feel so seen and heard before I even walked in the door. When I arrived, I was thrilled to find out that my consultant was Tenley--the same person I'd been messaging on Facebook and the one I'd seen featured in their posts. She was just as lovely in person as she'd been online. We browsed both the clearance and regular rooms, and as someone only interested in color (no white for me!), I was pleasantly surprised by how many gorgeous options I had--including black! Yes, black! Tenley was there every step of the way, helping me into each and every dress. She had a system--"dive, arms up, rotate!"--and honestly, it made the whole thing fun. I felt like a queen being styled for a royal ball. I didn't know at the time just how special this level of service was, but after visiting another salon that treated us... let's just say very differently, I now realize Tenley truly set the bar sky-high--for both me and my mom. Worst bridal shop ever. I ordered my daughter dress in May of 2023. Was told it would arrive four…read moremonths before the wedding in July of 2024. I called in April they said manufacturer had not released the dress yet. Daughter called May 2nd, they said manufacturer had not released the dress yet. I called the manufacturer they told me that they had the dress but could not give me any additional information, they agreed to call the store for me to see what was going on. After a week manufacturer said she could not get owner on the phone and suggested I contact another bridal shop to pick up the dress, which also meant paying for the dress again. (I had already paid for the dress in full) Drove form my home in New York to the dress shop in Andover to speak with the owner, she was not there and her assistant got her on the phone. I told her I would like to schedule a call with her and the manufacturer as someone was lying. Was then informed that they no longer do business with this manufacturer, I asked how long to get the dress once it is released. She said it would take a week. Then had to argue with the store to make an appointment to pick up the dress. Finally got an appointment for two weeks later. Dress was shipped the following Monday. On Wednesday before our appointment the owner Gretchen called my daughter and told her that she was the only one allowed in the store, if her family called she would call the police. My daughter was in tears when she called me. She said Gretchen was yelling at her and extremely rude. I called the police and they told me I could be excluded from the store. But if they gave my daughter any problems to call them. What kind of bridal shop owner takes away the experience of a mother seeing her daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. Additionally now have to scramble to find someone to alter the dress in the next six weeks. Stay away from this shop. Read the reviews.

In a culture where the word "wedding" automatically doubles or triples the price of everything, it was a welcome relief to find out that I was going to come in under budget on the gown alterations. ***NOTE: I realize that not all bridal gowns are the same, and not all kinds of alterations are priced equally, but I needed a hem job on 15 layers of material and the waist taken in on a very (VERY) fitted gown with a complicated bodice. But whatever. Just giving you a reference point.*** Nancy (it really is Nancy there when you walk in the door) is great. She fitted me, did a refit before any cuts were made, and made sure that the final alterations were as they were supposed to be, all the while being friendly and kind to me and my very special dress. The store isn't large, but there are a selection of formal, semiformal, and bridal gowns through which to browse. The best thing about Nancy was that she didn't put on any airs or make me feel unwelcome in any way, as some bridal boutique owners are apt to do.
