Blue Boutique in Ogden has employees with very poor customer service. I came in a few weeks ago and was given a 10% discount because "I was new." I was encouraged to come back and purchase some larger priced items using the coupon. When I came back with my husband, we purcased over $500 worth of merchandise, planning on using the coupon. The items were being discussed and purchased, and then were rung up, without them asking me if I had any coupons. When I said that I had my 10% off coupon, they refused to let me use it, telling me that it was "out of their hands," they "couldn't refund it," even though they hadn't asked me if I had a coupon, and they finished ringing up the purchase. So happy to see an old Utah business that was there when I lived there 20 years ago still successful and expanding. The staff are very friendly and helpful in helping you pick out whatever you need, no need to be shy or embarrassed when asking them which model of vibrator is better. The store is clean and well organized. They don't carry much leather, which was kind of a disappointment, but most stores now days don't. I think their Salt Lake location has a bit more selection in that area. Their mens underwear department is very tiny. I guess they put on the floor what sells, and guys don't go into lingerie stores looking for undies. I would say the store is 95% women and 5% guys in terms of selection in the front area, in the adult area in the back they do have more stuff for men. :) read more

I do believe that employees that work in an adult store should be trained and have product knowledge because it's a huge turn off to be told to drop money on a toy that is going to do something that it clearly doesn't do, that a product is made out of a material that is actually isn't, and that it is ok to use silicone lube with a silicone toy!! The store is messy, unorganized, cluttered and over priced. All in all such a let down. Two thumbs waaaaayyyy down. read more

I actually enjoyed my experience here. The staff was knowledgeable and open. Answered all my questions, were very polite, and helped guide me. They were nice enough to tell me what products they've used and love. They admitted they are paid on commission for some items. But I think that helps them engage with you more. read more

Came in today looking for a specific toy. Nakomi 'helped' us out. We mentioned to her that we had seen toys like the one we were looking for online for around 20 dollars and she educated us on the dangers of buying a toy online. She told us that when you buy a toy online, you might end up buying a toy made from a material like PVC which causes chemical burns and eventually melts. To prove her point she showed us a bag of melted dildos and told us that buying one in a store was the only way to go, that way you know you're buying a high quality silicone toy. What she failed to mention to us was that the toy we picked out(double ended strap on, 17 via Amazon with free shipping, we ended up paying 75 dollars after tax) WAS MADE OF PVC the very material she was just then warning us about. Very shady business practice. You sort of go into a store like this expecting the person helping you to be knowledgeable about their products because there is a certain level of danger involved if you don't know what you're getting. Well I walked out of this store feeling confident that I had purchased a safe, high quality silicone toy and when I got home I felt like an idiot and called to ask what was up. Spoke with the same girl I worked with to pick this out and she made the great point that she never actually told us that the toy we were looking at was a high quality silicone toy, just that if we bought one online we wouldn't know what we were getting and that buying it in the store would mean we would know what we're getting. Well thanks, I thought I knew, but I was mislead. Edit: did a little more research and found out that not only were we mislead about the toy, but also the cleaner that she sold us. A cursory Google search about the material revealed that it is recommended to be washed only with warm water and soap. What made me really mad about this was that she recommended a special cleaner on the basis that you should not wash silicone toys with soap and water, so obviously she thought it was a silicone toy! Bad customer service! I bought a pair of shoes that broke within 3 days, they wouldnt exchange or give me store credit, only 20% a new pair when Im a damcer and already get 15% but I needed dancer shoes. I wanted 7" but she grabbed 6" but I took her word for it because I was late to work. I wore the shoes once, that night. When I went to exchange, they wouldnt do anything. I lost $200 over this! So be careful! The employees dont care about making things right. read more
