First things first, every room has a patio and an ocean view. It was beautiful! We had such a lovely stay here. The restaurant is delicious we ate breakfast and dinner here every night. They are so nice at the restaurant!!! The king bed was huge and comfy. We scuba dived through their dive shop it was so easy, great dive, highly recommend. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great while we were there and it was very rough and choppy so we weren't able to snorkel and shore dive like we wanted to. They also set us up with a jeep rental for the day and we went exploring! We will definitely be back.

Dive shop on premises and the snorkelling is very good. Our room was spacious and very well equipped overlooking the serene garden area pool. Patio had a big comfortable lounger and was wonderful for dozing in the sun. Beach towels are provided and toiletries are high quality. Staff are friendly and do an outstanding job. We had an excellent dinner at Faro Blanco, many lunches at Le Cap and buffet breakfast at El Caribeno. The seafood dishes were all wonderful. Taxi to town is about USD 10 and the drive to the airport is about 20 minutes depending on traffic. We had a perfect stay here and hope to return soon!

I've stayed here a few times for work, and it's one of those hotels that keeps growing on you…read more The Setting The hotel sits about 15 minutes from the main town, in a quieter part of the island. That distance works in its favor. It feels calm, removed, and much more relaxed than staying closer to the cruise crowds. Architecturally, it leans retro, but in a good way. The bones are older, but the interiors have been updated with smart design choices that make everything feel current and polished without losing character. The Rooms The rooms are a strong point. Spacious, comfortable, and designed to take full advantage of the ocean views. Most rooms have some version of a water-facing angle, which makes a difference. If you're on the ground floor, you might get one of the outdoor rain showers. Fully private, surprisingly great, and one of those features you didn't know you needed until you have it. There's also a large indoor shower, so you're covered either way. The bathrooms are especially well stocked. Beyond the usual amenities, you get after-sun lotion, Evian facial spray, bug repellent, mouthwash, and pretty much every small item you might need but usually forget. Add in a Nespresso machine and blackout shades, and the rooms feel thoughtfully set up. Service Service is consistently excellent. Friendly, polite, and always willing to help. Nothing feels forced, just genuinely good hospitality. Food & Dining Breakfast is served under a large thatched roof right by the water, which sets the tone nicely. The buffet has a wide mix of Mexican and American options, and at around $30, it feels worth it for both the setting and the variety. Dinner was more hit or miss. I tried one of the oceanfront restaurants with a Mediterranean feel. Beautiful setting, disappointing food. The guacamole lacked flavor, and the picanha was overcooked and tough. Definitely not on par with the rest of the hotel. The Spa The spa is a highlight. Great setting, excellent treatments, and a nice bonus: when you book a massage, you get access to the spa facilities for two days. That includes steam room, sauna, plunge pools, and other amenities that make it easy to spend a full afternoon there. Overall Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort & Spa is a strong choice if you're looking for a relaxed, well-appointed stay on the island. Great rooms, great service, and a setting that makes it easy to unwind. Just be selective about where you eat on property.

First I want to say that this review is long overdue and I apologize to all the wonderful people…read morewho work at the Cozumel Palace for the delay. This is a very lengthy review, but I try to cover ad much as possible about my exceptional experiences. My family and I have gone there twice in one year, because we had such an amazing experience during our first visit in November of 2023. This past March of 2024 was our second visit and like I said, it was amazing. Not only did the staff remember us, but they made sure we knew that and made us feel super special. I've read a lot of reviews from other visitors and I have to say that some of their grievances are clearly due to a lack of research. First off, this property never claims to have a beach. Cozumel is known as one of the best places in the world for diving and snorkeling and this property offers excellent opportunities to experience both. Secondly, the shows; personally, I appreciate the fact that they give local talents a chance to show off their God-given skills and to teach tourists all about Mexican/Cozumel culture and history. Some people have called the shows "corny" or "cheesy." If you want Cirque du Soleil or something like that, go find it somewhere else. Not only do I greatly appreciate the variety of shows and the fact that they have one almost every night, but I also appreciate the fact that they are family-friendly. Thirdly, the cleanliness of this resort is impecable and I'm very picky about the cleanliness of places I stay at. Hats off to all of the cleaning and maintenance staff. I'll also highlight how easy, fast, and efficient it is to request maintenance through the app and be greeted with a friendly maintenance member within minutes of putting in the request. The fourth thing is the food. This one I can somewhat agree with some of the reviews, but mostly disagree. Yes, they have some things that are not good, but there is something for everyone and this resort offers an array of delicious options. If you don't like something, just mention it to a staff member and I guarantee you (based on my personal experience) they will go above and beyond to make it right. With this being said, I'll start my shoutouts: First off to Chef Elias Amor whom is no longer at that location, but is making families happy at another Palace resort with his incredible culinary talents. Next, I'd like to give a special thanks to Paola whom was the first person to remember my family and I, setting iff a chain reaction of exceptional service from The very first day of our visit in March. To Johnny, who made our anniversary dinner extra special by giving my wife and I a "Mayan coffee" show by the water. A very special shoutout to Mariana for checking on us every day to make sure we were having the best possible vacation and also to Alvaro for having such a wonderful F&B team. My "tocayo" Ivan for just being so kind to us in general and never missing the opportunity to ask us how our day was going. Thank you to Carmen, Pablo, Elizabeth, and Martha for their exceptional food service. Thank you to Enrique and Giovanni for slinging out the best drinks on the property. Thank you to Israel for accompanying us at the beginning and end of such an awesome and relaxing trip to Tulum. Thank you to David and Leslie for taking such great care of us during our kayaking and snorkeling experiences and thank you to Fernando for teaching us how to scuba dive. Last but certainly not least, a very warm and special thanks to Mayra, Alessandra, Angel, and Katya at Sweet & Coffee for working so hard day and night to make everyone delicious coffee, sandwiches, and snacks. Without all the hard work of the above mentioned staff member and of those I didn't mention, my last two visits to Cozumel would not have been so amazing. I can't wait to go back for a third time in the near future and I obviously highly recommend Cozumel Palace.

We loved and took advantage of the pools - both the rooftop pool as well as the pool overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed sitting out on the beach, and made use of the free snorkel rentals. We were able to see SO many tropical fish by snorkeling right from the beach out front of the hotel. We floated downstream about a half mile and then walked back along the beach. Check-In Check-in was relatively fast (about 15 minutes),…read moreand the lobby was spacious with plenty of seating. We inquired about reserving a Bali bed and were informed they were an additional $400 per day, and that it would be best to upgrade our room to the Royal Tower for an extra $250 per person for the entire stay, so we did. However, we weren't offered a welcome drink, which was disappointing. Isaias at the front desk was polite and helpful, but our wristbands weren't programmed correctly, so we had to walk back to have them fixed--annoying after a long day of travel. Membership Sales (Be Warned!) If you're approached about a "quick 90-minute tour" in exchange for perks (massage credit, excursion discount), skip it. We were approached by Maria after breakfast on our first morning and agreed, but it turned into a high-pressure sales pitch that lasted nearly two hours. We were handed off to seven different salespeople, each trying to wear us down--even after we clearly said no. One rep told me not to be "rude" when I pointed out our 90 minutes were up. We finally had to walk out. Google reviews were right--this process is aggressive and uncomfortable. Not worth it. Butler Service Butlers are available from 8am-6pm. Initially, communication was poor--we weren't contacted by the promised 10am and had to follow up in person to find out who our butlers were (Jessica and Yahaira). After some delays, we met Jessica, and she was outstanding. She created a WhatsApp group, communicated clearly in both English and Spanish, and provided 5-star service for the rest of our stay. She handled dinner reservations, made great recommendations, and reserved a Bali bed for us daily. She truly elevated our experience--tip her well! Dining * La Veranda (buffet): Fermin at the grill was amazing--super efficient and friendly! Great omelets and breakfast tacos. * Flor de Sal (Mexican): Excellent cappuccinos and kind service (shout-out to Jesús), but we waited over 30 minutes for breakfast. * Koi Oriental (Asian): The hibachi show was fun and service was good, but food was just OK--lukewarm and small portions. * Café Sole: Great spot for ice cream, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. Nice for quick snacks. Adult Pool Bar The team at the adult pool--Belmai (bartender), Fanny (waitress), and Santiago (waiter)--were awesome. Attentive, friendly, and really created a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service all around! Beach Visited in mid-July and unfortunately the seaweed was a major issue. The beach was closed 4 out of 5 days due to brown water and heavy buildup. Thankfully, the current cleared it enough on our last day to enjoy the waves. Having a Bali bed made our beach time more comfortable, even when the water wasn't swimmable. Check-Out Smooth and stress-free. Jessica coordinated everything with the bellboy and arranged our taxi. We were able to have lunch and enjoy a drink at Cassis Bar before heading out. A great end to a mixed experience. Final Thoughts There are definite highlights--especially Jessica's butler service and the adult pool team--but the hard-sell membership pitch and initial disorganization were major downsides. If you avoid the sales trap and get a good butler, your stay can be quite enjoyable.

The resort was kept tidy, although I saw several guests throwing trash on the grounds rather than the bins for rubbish (strange). It's a beautiful jungle-like atmosphere. There are 3 pools. All were a little chilly. The hot-tubs were not very hot. The beach is kinda crowded, but nice. There is an area to snorkel just off the beach. Snorkel equipment is free to use. The food was diverse. It was Mexico's spin on some American, Italian and Asian standards. Not really authentic if you have traveled to those places. We never went hungry. The drinks were good. The staff was always helpful and aimed to please. I recommend renting a car for a day or two and driving around the island. The resort has free overnight parking for guests. Really a beautiful experience.

The quality and execution of breakfast was great too. Food was laid out behind a glass counter, and you just let the staff know what you wanted, and they would grab/make it for you. All the staff members wore masks and abided by COVID guidelines. Our room was immaculate. The bed was firm but comfortable. The water in the bathtub did not pool. Customer service was great. Everything we asked for, we got it. There are some noises around 6am every morning, but nothing you can't tune out. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mexicana.

We were greeted upon check in with a tasty beverage. Our bags were brought up to our room for us. The employees are kind and helpful. The lobby is very pretty with a pool that overlooks the ocean. There are bikes you can borrow to head into town. The location is great, and easily walkable to the downtown square and lots of restaurants. We dove with a highly rated dive operator that's located less than a block away, so our pickup location was across the street which was SO convenient. There is an included breakfast buffet. While this is convenient if diving, the buffet opens at 7am, and our dive boat pickup is 7:30. While this seems like plenty of time given that you just have to walk across the street to the boat, this is not a serve-yourself buffet (at least post-COVID). There are a couple of staff that serve the food. At 6:58am, there is already a line of divers at the buffet. If you're having anything prepared fresh (eggs or pancakes), you have to be one of the first ~5 people in line in order to get your food made, eat, and get to the boat. I wish the buffet opened a bit earlier to accommodate the number of divers who stay here. If you're not diving, this is not an issue at all. The food itself was just okay. I was expecting a lot more from it given the previous reviews. There is so much fantastic food on the island, but the food here was just a little underwhelming. The hotel rooms are large and cozy, and the beds comfortable. The AC works well in the rooms, which is a must during the summers here! There is a desk area with 2 interior chairs, and a little patio area for each room with 2 exterior chairs. Next time I'll ask for additional exterior chairs, as that is the only place to really hang dry your scuba attire. We often had both chairs covered in swim suits/rash guards/etc as well as the shower curtain rod, hand towel rack (and were were only 2 divers in the room). We really liked the soap, shampoo, and conditioner that the hotel provided. They all smelled nice. There was always coffee downstairs in the morning, and fruit infused cold water in the afternoons which was nice to come back to. I know this is not a "dive hotel", hence only losing 1 star for all of my negatives, as I know they are all specific for the purpose of my trip, but given how many people stay here to dive given the proximity to the dock of one of the main dive operators, I just wish there were some more dive friendly updates. Regardless of this, I would gladly stay here again, even for a dive trip, and strongly recommend this hotel. Oh, and the price per night here is fantastic!

For nine nights, it definitely wasn't worth an extra $300 for a fridge. We just went to the Mega and got a styrofoam cooler and filled it full of drinks and ice. It's a lot cheaper.
