The waitress lead us through the process of choosing our seafood, deciding the cooking process, and then sat us down. We ordered tuna tartare which was fresh, tender, and delicate. I ordered fried seafood for my main and my friend ordered mussels and a ravioli. We were seated... the restaurant was dimly lit, white table cloths dressed the tables, and restaurant felt more romantic than a friendly local hangout. The older part of the city is so beautiful and vibrant, I'd rather be in the older part if eating average food. One waitress was sweet, but forgetful. The other staff did their best to ignore us. I watched people sit and leave because they couldn't get served despite having only a couple of tables filled. Plenty of other options in Lecce. Did not work for us.

We were basically surrounded by English and American tourists in their retirement. Also, they played elevator music in the background - rather loud and disturbing to think that anyone would enjoy this in a restaurant in Italy ... or any restaurant. The restaurant is split into two areas. From what we saw, the elevator music area was for the tourists (the area left from the entrance) and the other one for the locals. The food was ok but not worth to be mentioned in a travel guide or even the michelin guide. I would not recommend the restaurant to a friend ... but I suspect that the area for the locals would have been much better and so would have been my review.
