They welcomed us and gave me and my american friends advice on what to do in Ireland for the weekend. They even ripped open two cake boxes to show us their beautiful creations and woo us. We bought an apple pie. And some tomato bread. To be quite honest, it was my first pie ever, and maybe I'm not a pie person but the apples were really not sweet but a bit sour. But the tomato bread was so delicious! I know this bakery is good though so definitely worth a visit!

The children's chicken meals were served by the company uncooked (actually raw). This caused great stress for the parents at our event and we had to follow up for the next few days to make sure none of the children were sick. Sophie blamed the serving girls provided by her (Apetite catering) despite the fact they had followed her instructions. No labelling or prior notification was given that the chicken was raw and needed to be cooked. The instructions given were that the chicken had already been pre-cooked and required heating only. Having raw chicken mixed with other cooked food was really disgraceful. As for the rest of the food it was just average. Food was tepid & salad soggy. This company is unprofessional and we would not recommend them at all. They ruined our event.

The beef burger is delicious with cheese loaded potato skins-you won't be hungry after! Loads of homemade cakes and sausage rolls etc. are on display to tempt you. Great selection of choices on the menu with plenty of gluten free options. Breakfast served until 2pm at the weekend which I think should be the norm. Stopped in for lunch on one of the opening days and tbh was a little bit manic but that just down to finding feet, have been in since and things have calmed down. The first thing you notice when you enter is the woodfire pizza oven! then you'll start to pick up on how trendy the building is.. if Pizza isn't your thing the mosey on over to the sandwich counter and purchase a very tasty sambo.. Original review: Gorgeous breads, fresh fillings - but service could be better. Watercress closes early and that may have been our mistake - we quickly got the impression the staff wanted to offload their meager leftovers to us which meant combining ingredients that might not necessarily work together. When it came to the soup, there wasn't enough to fill two cups but only three quarters or so of our two portions so one staff said they wouldn't charge us; the other staff, however, charged us for two full cups so we totally felt shortchanged. I must say in general I'd prefer a board with a few suggested combinations rather than having to design my own sandwich - I don't have that much imagination at all times, that's why I count on cafés to prepare my food! So in summary good food but a bad service experience will not justify venturing out to Cabinteely again any time soon for me or my lunch companion.
