She also does makeup, and they have other stylist that do make up as well which is so convenient for special occasions. They are great with children as well- my daughter came there for her Communion hair styling and left feeling like a princess. They also offer you coffee/ tea, water, champagne and even mimosas while you are getting pampered! Worst blowout to date! I went in with washed hair. Zaida sprayed water and was done "blowing out" my hair in less than 15 minutes and did not bother to fix it once I told her it was still wet and went on to spray tons of hair spray. I've never been to a blow dry bar and decided to give it a try as a birthday treat to myself. I called the same day and they accommodated me for the afternoon. I love the 4 different hairstyle options you can choose from. Price is extremely fair for a wash, blow and style. I was very happy with the result and will be going back. I also saw that you can bring your own shampoo/conditioner/products for the wash which is nice to know. You can also get dressed and do your makeup there, which I did and was very advantageous. My experience with salons growing up was like this: a place with strong hair spray odors, loud conversations and stressed out customers waiting their turn. This lounge is totally different!! My daughter in law had an appointment at 9:30 am and we were running late and did not arrive until 9:45 am. My daughter in law received a call double checking if she was on the way. When we arrived, the owner, Sylvia immediately greeted my daughter in law. There was no reprimand about being late as I've unpleasantly experienced in other salons. Complete attitude of understanding that I appreciated. I scheduled a blowout at blow and dry lounge after not having been in a few years and was disappointed with how much the quality has gone down. I went in for a regular blow out and felt I could've done a better job at home. My hair stylist was not detailed oriented at all and I had to ask her to touch up frizzy hair around my hair, and even had to ask for hairspray. These are blow dry basics that a client shouldn't have to ask for because it should just be regular practice. I never write reviews but this place truly blew me away! I made my appointment extremely last minute at 5:30PM online and chose the 7PM appointment (they close at 8PM.) As soon as I came inside the woman at the front desk knew my name and my stylist got straight to work! This was the fastest wash, blow dry and style I have ever had. Also the way she did my hair left me in shock! She didn't burn my scalp either which i'm unfortunately used to at other salons so I was so happy. I messaged the salon via Yelp and soon thereafter received a response. They did not disappoint! My hair appointment began promptly at 1 and my makeup followed at 2. Yrey did my makeup. What a fabulous job. I received many compliments. I did not catch my hair stylist's name unfortunately but she also did an awesome job. My soft waves lasted all night and even into the following day. Booking is super easy online or you can call. Yaz is my go-to , she's super sweet and very focused on giving you what you ask for, I show her a photo and she delivers ! The only negative from my last visit was the shop door was open the entire time -- if you're from Miami you KNOW humidity and hair don't mix. Plus it was really warm in the salon with all the dryers on at full throttle and it definitely wasn't the most comfortable experience. I have been coming here pretty much every Friday afternoon for a year and a half. Dayis makes my hair look beautiful. She takes care to give me a great blow out week after week. And it lasts a good week too! Plus she makes me delicious Cuban coffee when I come. The ladies who take turns washing my hair before the blow out? I can't say enough about how fabulous they are. I was in Miami on business and I am relocating to South Miami in the next couple of months. I wanted to find a new salon! Blow N Dry came highly recommend so I called and made an appointment for 11am the same day and they were able to take me in which was great. Silvia the owner was amazing at responding to my yelp message and staying connected. She truly cares about her business. I arrived at the salon at 10:40 due to the previous reviewers said that parking could be a challenge. I checked in with receptionist who was very nice. The salon is very cute and seemed to have a lot of clients coming in and out. My experience changed because i checked in at 10:40 and they did not see me until 11:15am. Then we had to wait an additional 10 minutes because they only have three shampoo bowls. Which i would have been completely okay with waiting but my stylist was not very professional. She seemed annoyed to take me as a client. I have tape in extensions and soon as she seen that she asked me about the brand and who does them I explained that I get them done in Chicago. She expressed that she used a certain brand and I mentioned to her that had terrible experience with that certain brand. She got completely defensive and literally started to raise her voice. I was shocked by her lack of professionalism. I express to her that hey everyone has their own experience and she agreed. She started to style my hair and she was little heavy handed which i just wanted to get finished at this point. She asked if she could replace one of the tape extensions and i said that would be great and she let me know that it was be an additional charge of 15.00. I was like okay no problem. Then in the middle of doing my hair she took a personal call to book another appointment which i thought was odd since they have a receptionist. Plus being that they started late i would figure this would put her behind with the next client. She styled my hair and it looked great! I told her i loved the style and at that point i was going to look pass our initial experience. However when i got the bill there were additional charges. The blow out was 35.00 which i was aware and the replacement of the tape was another 15.00. However there was an additional charge of 15.00 which I didn't know about. If someone would have explain that to me I would have just paid it but it kind surprised me at the end. My total was 75.00 and my blow dry didn't even last the day. I would have given the salon 5 stars but the experience with the stylist and the up charge with no explanation kinda took away from the salon experience. Owner said her stylists were very busy, especially during the pandemic. Owner said they tried to call her when in fact they called the wrong number and never called my daughter's phone number. After being rude to my daughter at the salon and hanging up the phone on us saying she was "very professional", owner did not charge for the first "missed"appointment". We merely asked for common courtesy on a misunderstanding with a first-time customer. A visit to a salon should not be such a stressful situation. DO NOT COME HERE I had them booked for hair and make up this past Saturday for my bridal shower. They knew they messed up, told me I would be able to get a refund, said they would have the owner call me and they never did. I called today and the receptionist (who I believe also does hair) Luciana, said she thought she had called but it didnt matter because there was nothing they could do, it was all okay and hung up on me. I'm not sure how ruining how I looked for my bridal shower is okay but I'm glad that customer satisfaction isn't of concern for her. The hairstylist I had on Saturday wouldn't listen to me when I told her she had parted my hair in the wrong place, or that I was worried that my hair would fall with the technique she was using. Low and behold when I get home my hair is flat and straight as a board. Luciana tried telling me that this was because she was trying to get volume on my hair. I explained that 1) I had specifically said I didn't want extra volume on top of my head because I already have a lot of hair and 2) she never changed the part so it wasn't like she was trying to get more bounce and flip it over. My make up appointment started 40 minutes late and was super rushed. It was supposed to take 45 minutes and I was in the chair for less than 20. I specifically noted that I was concerned about my undereye area and would like extra coverage there as I hadn't slept well the night before. I look like the undead in my photos. The lashes she put on me didn't stay on and kept popping up like alfafas hair. I've never had an issue with lashes before. I had called on Thursday and Friday to stress that I could not be late and needed my appointments to be on time etc. I was told it wouldn't be a problem for me but that they may have an issue with my mom's make up appointment so her appointment ended up being cancelled. My mothers hair was also flat as a board. On top of being so upset that I didn't look the way I wanted to at my shower the customer service is horrendous. The receptionist I spoke to on Saturday was nice but clearly everything she said was full of empty promises. Things go wrong and I understand that but it is how you handle the situation afterwards that matters. I absolutely love this place!!! I went here for the first time the morning of my honeymoon they were very quick and efficient since they knew I had a flight to catch. I showed the lady a photo of what I wanted and she far exceeded my expectations! Not only was the blow out beautiful but it lasted like 4 days!!! I have been to Blow N Dry Lounge many times. I have always had a marvelous experience. I've had my hair done by Hernando Gonzalez and Laura Meitin and absolutely love them but I'm sure they are all good as everyone is busy. Don't be shy to speak up and explain what you'd like... communication is key in everything. It's great that I could have coffee, water, tea or even a glass of wine while I'm getting my hair done. Although it's a busy shopping center, parking has never been an issue as there's ample parking. Also, I've never had to wait more than 5 min for my appointment. The salon is clean and everyone is friendly. Seems like employees are happy to be working there and it shows. I've always noticed a good working camaraderie amongst the employees and have never heard anyone complain about the job or their boss (I've had that experience before in salons where a stylist is complaining to another stylist, or even to me, about their job or a fellow employee while doing my hair). It's very convenient that I could leave the tip on my card and schedule my appointment online or by phone. This place was fast, friendly and I'm so happy with what they did. I had a hair appt at 1 and make up at 2 for a black tie wedding that night. I did not have to wait to be seen, they sat me down to wash my hair literally at 1. Someone offered me a mimosa, water or coffee. Mimosa was great and they offered me another later. Right after my hair they sat me down for make-up, which was also surprisingly fast. For an up do and make up, my total stay was 45 mins (I figured 3 hours but I was way off), and both for a total of $100 and I left a good tip so came out to $128. My hair and make up was impeccable the entire evening (all I had to do was touch up my lipstick) and I couldn't have been more pleased with this place. I'm DEFINITELY going back. I recommend making the appt as much in advance as possible if it's for a Saturday, they are super busy and now I see why! read more

I walked past the salon a couple of times before I had the urge to walk in and ask for an appointment - I'm always fearful that they're already booked, even though they hang a sign that reads, "Walk-ins Welcone." I was referred to this place from a friend of mine who have been going for a long time. So, this friend gave a list of people who she recommended and so far I have been lucky. My last blow dry survived outside concern followed by a 4 hrs flight with 2 yrs old. They always offer wine (red, white and rose).
