Specialties
At Bloor Pain Specialists, we specialize in SPINE-related pain management (Herniated discs, sciatica, back pain, neck pain, rib/chest wall pain, pinched or inflamed nerves, epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation or rhizotomy). Bloor Pain Specialists is Largest Interventional Pain Management Specialists Facility in Ontario, with OHIP Physicians and Surgeons Specializing in Spine Pain Management and Spine Care. We have 36 times the capacity to do x-ray guided injections or procedures when compared to the average Ontario hospital or University Centre. We are accepting new referrals from all over Ontario and aim to keep wait times to a minimum.
History
Established in 2019.
For patients, it is often hard to speak openly about their chronic pain and disabilities to friends, family, or even their own doctors. You are not alone on this. The Canadian Pain Task Force Report in 2020 estimated 1 in 4 Canadians age 15 and over suffer from chronic pain. That's 3.6 million in Ontario!
There are few pain management clinics that can support the highest standard to delivery top-tier care in Ontario for medical procedures which are done with x-ray or ultrasound imaging, or intravenous ketamine infusions, and we are the largest such clinic in Ontario, with 36 times more capacity for procedures than the average university centre or hospital. Our doctors at Bloor Pain Specialists are well supported and able to provide these services with confidence. Our doctors provide care for patients in the GTA, but many come from far away (Niagara, Hamilton, Kitchener, Oshawa/Peterborough, Barrie/Orillia, Sudbury, and small communities up North).
