Everything was perfectly done right down to the lightly grilled brioche bun. The pool room upstairs is really cool too. Lots of history in the place but still feels clean and cared for. I've only been back for 3 weeks and I've already been 3 times. And sent several people to this place. So far, we've tried various draft and bottled beers, and have had their schnitzel and poutine. During the day, it is disconcertingly quiet, but I was really happy to see that on a Friday night it was absolutely packed with "young" people (Millennials and Gen Z), and everyone seemed to be having a great time. This time one of my friends walked over to the Café side of The Only a couple of times after we all had finished our flights and bought 2 non-alcoholic caffeine drinks from the fridge there - which offers various other beverages as well - and shared both with me and our other friend to help us sober up. Both drinks were the same brand (Guayaki organic Yerba Mate) but 2 different flavours: Peach and Berry Lemonade. Both were quite nice but I liked the latter more. The Only never fails to impress me and I always have a most enjoyable time there whenever I visit; this occasion was certainly no exception.

I've been here on a couple occasions during a Leafs game and it's usually quiet and relaxing. Pitchers are a decent price at around $20 for domestic beers and there are lots of peanuts to eat on the house. It's owned by an older gentleman, who is extremely friendly and very nice to new customers. He made my friends and I feel very welcome and was quick to serve us when he was available. He also takes requests on what to watch on the TV, as sometimes there are multiple games going on at once. Overall I would come back again if I am in the area as this is a great place to relax and catch a quick pint. The food is also very decent and they do a good job of using fresh ingredients. Also to note, the owner gave us free shots of some kind of hard European liquor as we were leaving, what a nice gesture!
