I live in Los Angeles, and I was genuinely concerned that settling my late brother-in-law's estate would require constant travel back and forth to Texas. Fortunately, I found Daniela and her incredible team at Legacy Estates & Trust, and they completely exceeded my expectations. From our very first interaction, Daniela was professional and transparent. She took the time to outline exactly what the process would entail, provided a very clear breakdown of the costs, and gave us a realistic anticipated timeline. To my surprise, the entire case actually moved faster and smoother than I ever imagined possible. What truly set this experience apart was the convenience of their remote capabilities. Daniela and her paralegal, Drea, handled every single detail without me ever having to step foot on a plane. Not once did I need to fly to Texas for a hearing, and they even guided me through the remote notary process, which was a first for me and an absolute game-changer for my future legal needs. Throughout the entire court process, the staff was extremely patient and friendly, answering all of our questions with impressive speed and care. It is rare to find a legal team that combines such high-level expertise with genuine empathy. I would highly recommend Legacy Estates & Trust to anyone in need of estate management, especially those navigating the complexities of out-of-state probate. They turned what could have been a logistical nightmare into a seamless, stress-free experience.

This is a family business, run by Attorney Caitlin Haney Johnston, and her sister Amber, with the rest of the team. I learned after residing in Texas for the last five years, that my will and trust from California were invalid in Texas. That was an unpleasant awareness, as it took quite a bit of time to prepare those documents. My job offered "MetLife-Prepaid Legal" as an annual benefit. MetLife even offered an affordable family plan. So we made the call, discussed our needs and shortly thereafter, we were reviewing the draft documents and signing our finals. We needed a Spanish translation for one of our family members. No problem, as their Paralegal Celeste speaks Spanish fluently. The office visit was amazing. They were so patient and understanding with all our questions. Not once did I feel rushed. It was like talking to a family member that knew the law. Over all it was a great experience, and a weight off my shoulders. I can't praise them enough how they helped me breathe easier knowing that this matter was done. Thank you Caitlin, Amber and Celeste for your professional help with this matter. We truly appreciate y'all. Michael C. - Georgetown

After interviewing several Austin Estate Attorneys we chose the Haney Law Firm and WE COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! They are fantastic! During the lead up to our hearing, they were in constant communication with us, made sure we knew exactly what to expect and helped us gather all of the information both they, the Ad Litem (Court appointed attorney) and the judge needed. Flash forward... I can NOT believe how supremely prepared Caitlan Haney Johnston (our attorney) was for the Probate Hearing. Both the witnesses and I were thoroughly prepped for the testimony we would be expected to give and, by the time we walked into the courtroom, we were all completely comfortable with what to expect. The hearing went exactly as we were told it would by Caitlan and she stayed with us to make sure all of the post hearing paperwork was filled out correctly including the stamped copies of the judge's orders. The next day I received both calls and emails from Amber (the amazing paralegal) and Caitlan making sure we knew exactly what the court expects of us and the time lines. I could not have asked for more!!! The Haney Law Firm is the absolute "Best of the Best!!!"

He boasts a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" policy on his BBB page, but his actual business practices are completely deceptive. After taking my money, he admitted in writing that he skipped critical phases of my estate plan--failing to review the documents with me, provide instruction, or offer the advice I paid for. Instead of finishing the contracted work, he spent our meetings aggressively trying to upsell me on unauthorized legal services for an eviction issue, demanding an additional $1,000 to file court documents despite admitting he is not an attorney. Furthermore, he engaged in highly concerning privacy practices by secretly adding a secondary account to my private Dropbox folders and taking ownership of my files without permission. When I expressed dissatisfaction and requested a partial refund for the uncompleted work, he immediately blocked my phone number and terminated our engagement. He does not honor his guarantees and abandons his clients the moment he is questioned. Avoid at all costs. edit: text and emails prove that the answer below is incorrect. your text shows that the thousand dollars was to draft the help with the eviction even though you're not even a lawyer! Why don't you look up unlicensed practice of law? In addition- you offered to finish the job was after telling me twice you blocked me! The long version is as follows: Ben was the second attorney I hired for my divorce and he should have been the first!! Ben makes you feel like you are his only client. He also acts voraciously and proactively on his client's behalf and protects their interests. He is a "bull-dog" in the Courtroom. My case had several depositions and hearings and I always felt extremely confident to have Ben representing me. He always knew what to say, his statements always backed up with facts and case law, and his intellect unmatched. I always felt like I had the upper-hand with Ben by my side.
