    Welcome to the library!

Ahhh, the library. It's definitely a dying breed in this modern age, but always seems to be a fun and nostalgic experience. Much like the one near the house that I grew up in, this is a full service library, only much much larger. There's a large array of public computers that you can use, should you need to summon Google while getting your studies completed. There's also a separate library just for kids in the back, which is a brilliant concept to keep the general population quiet, and to let them roam around in their own area (there's a library staff person monitoring it at all times, so parents can feel safe to leave them should they need to get anything done). What's also cool is that this library has a bunch of separate rooms that are closed off, and can be used for meetings or get togethers, as well as rooms dedicated for the hard core studiers who demand "A Quiet Place" (the requirement of absolute silence is pasted onto the outside doors). There are also computer labs, and other areas that seem to be specifically for students. In other words,it's pretty evident that a lot of thought and planning went into the overall design of this place, which is good to know since my kids are getting close to high school age. There is also a free fax machine that you can use, as well as several printers (I must admit that the printers weren't very good, and could definitely use an upgrade), just make sure not to forget your library card/ID. Even if you do, there are plenty of extremely friendly staff members stationed around to help, so you always feel accommodated.

Good library with resourceful employees. If they don't have what you're looking for they go out of their way to find it as well as work with area libraries to get it for you

Ask the Community - Bloomingdale Regional Library

Are there places to sit and study inside?

Yes! There multiple places to sit and study including a multipurpose room that is silent. Other areas in the library are quiet areas that allow for quiet conversation, but definitely gets a little louder as more students come in from Bloomingdale… Read more

I LOVE this library! My son is homeschooling, so we decided to get a library card for him. I saw…read morethat this location had a "children's room" which is perfect for sitting down and reading to your kids, studying the globes, using the computers they provide for educational programs and so much more, without having to worry about your kids being "too loud." We went to this location just for him, and enjoyed the entire visit! My son and I felt really safe because there was a deputy stationed at the entrance right when you walk in. We will be trying to visit once a week now that we've discovered this location! We would love to see more hands on educational material, (like the globes) because we don't own things like that at home, and it gave us an opportunity to learn about the different continents in 3D instead of flat on a map! Lastly, they had little free craft envelopes and we were able to grab one on our way out, which I thought was AWESOME! My son really enjoyed making his butterfly!

One of my favorite places near my home.  I am here every few days picking up or dropping off books…read moreand DVDs.  I was so happy when the county built this beautiful library in Seffner.   Close enough for me to ride my bike and a rack is provided near the door.  Inside there are three self checkout stations which make it very easy to get in and out quick.  Use the online system and you receive an email when your requested items are ready.  So convenient.  We pay for this service in our taxes and I don't understand why more people don't use the library.  I've been a library user since I was a child and encourage everyone to visit, check out a book, and READ!  Seffner friends of the library group holds quarterly sales of used books and wow you can get great deals.  Getting a library card is easy.  Just take a piece of mail with your address and your ID to the librarian and complete the form.
