called to set up an appt. with Bloomfield Dermatology for a bad flare up of eczema that my two year old daughter was suffering from. I explained that it was bad, and that I wanted to get in as soon as possible. They scheduled me an appt. two weeks out, and told ME to call in each morning at 8:30 a.m. to check to see if there was any cancellations. I faithfully called each morning to try to get in sooner, with no luck. Apparently, no one ever cancels their appts there! Then, two days prior to the appt. it was so bad we had to take her into the URGENT CARE CENTER because we were frightened that it was infected, and were unsure of the ramifications that would cause. The urgent care prescribed an antibiotic cream and suggested we get her into the dermatologist asap for further examination. That's when I called Bloomfield Dermatology the next morning and asked, ONCE AGAIN, if there were any cancellations for that day (this was on Wednesday and my appt. is scheduled for Friday) they once again claimed that there were no openings. I begged the receptionist to check with the doctor to see if they could take an EMERGENCY appt. and I was told "No, I'm sorry" -- I really can't believe that these doctor's don't have flexibility in their schedules for emergencies! I was told by the receptionist that this is their busiest time, and they don't even have enough time for their regularly scheuduled patients, let alone a new patient! They actually told me I could call Associated Dermatologists of West Bloomfield. I told them I already had their number in my hand. I also told the receptionist that I couldn't believe their doctors would want to loose business, but she didnt' seem to care. I told her that I would go elsewhere. SO I DID! I called Bloomfield Associated Dermatologists of West Bloomfield and they got me an appt. immediately! I was in and out the same day I called!
SO, DON'T TRY TO BOOK AN APPT. AT BLOOMFIELD DERMATOLOGY - APPARENTLY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT NEW PATIENTS IN THEIR PRACTICE!! read more
