The location is on the north side of the Bloomer and it is across the street from a gas station/convenience store that is well stocked with items. The store even had distilled water that I forgot at home for my BiPap. Our room was clean and basic with a desk, small fridge, air conditioning, flatscreen with cable, and free WiFi which came in handy with my kids' iPads. The room was quiet and I never once heard any sounds from the occupied room next to us or sounds of people coming and going outside of our room. If I had to name one negative, it would be that the bathrooms' only had shower stalls and no bath tub. This was not an issue for my wife and me, but it made showering my two toddlers a bit of a challenge. However, we quickly adapted and it wasn't a problem. Over the years, I've stayed at many motels/hotels and to be honest, this is one of my favorites. This is not your Holiday or Ramada Inn. If your looking for something like that then this may not be a place for you. However, if you want a clean and cozy place to get a good nights rest that will not break the bank, then this is the place. I always saw the owner each morning working at the motel. He always said hello and each time had a smile on his face, which shows me that he takes pride in his business. The fact that their neon sign said "no vacancies" on both Friday and Saturday night says it all. If I am able to come up this way next year, this is where I want to stay.

We'll things calmed down after lots left for the wedding. Fortunately it really was pretty quiet during the night. I was kind of ready for noise with people returning from the wedding. The bed was very firm so I didn't sleep too well but I guess that's the breaks of staying in a hotel. We did go to the pool and there was a funky smell and the water was greenish. I think it needs a good cleaning or something with the filter. Our suits did have a weird smell so I soaked them when we got home. Hopefully they'll be ok. We did appreciate the bottle of water we got at check in. Thank you. As for breakfast there was no where to sit so we decided not to stay. That was a bummer. My room was very clean, the main area was impeccable and the pool area was very nice. I was very impressed with everything. The staff - from the front desk to the maids - were friendly and helpful. I had 5 kids with me so if you were going to get crabby with a guest - it should've been me. One kid spilled an entire glass of apple juice everywhere ... then knocked ALL the utensils on the floor at breakfast (like 100 spoons, etc). The girl working the front desk was also manning the breakfast area, and she just pleasantly helped me clean it up with no issue. I will definitely stay in this location again.

The reason this was an issue was we were already told we could swim and the employee had an extremely rude attitude. If we had known that kids could not swim after 11 we wouldn't have even bothered using the pool facilities.

In fact, I'm writing to you from my deluxe room at this very moment, because I haven't been able to open the door to properly check-out of my deluxe room at the suggested checkout time of 11am. I prefer to stay in deluxe rooms, because I'm a blues boy at heart and need the extra space to listen to my blues CDs while I'm traveling for business. Unfortunately, I've come down with the blues fever because I still can't open the very heavy door to my larger, more expensive deluxe room and I fear that my stay will be extended. Sadly, this isn't the first time my stay has been extended. I was once attending a blues concert at The Alley in Sanford, FL and witnessed a blues tragedy, which greatly affected my evening. The young gun guitar-slinger on stage was ferociously berated by the venue owner following some type of dispute after the show. I had been in the merchandise line to buy a new blues CD and was delayed by 10 minutes or so. I travel often for business and recreation.
