Perlite comes in sizes, and one store size may not equal another, inspect it in person. I don't grow cannabis, but this store has a huge array of products for that. In fact, my landscaper used a few of the products at this store to minimize transplant shock and encourage root growth in landscape plants. They have a large selection of very high quality Japanese pruning shears too. And COVID-wise they have chemical grade 99.9% isopropyl alcohol by the gallon. This is a plant growing supply warehouse-type setup, no fluff, with knowledgable employees and specialized supplies you will not find at typical nursery supply stores.

Unknowledgeable sales staff and deceitful practices and an owner that knows not the customer is always right. Be growing since 1976 I think I know what I prefer. Don't waste your time and money.

This isn't the place you go for the cheap stuff raised in warmer climates. Second is the service. They have helper booths, and you can throw anything at them and they either can answer or find someone who can answer. Confused about if a plant is the best for a shady spot or sunny spot - they can help. Finally, it's just a wonderful place to walk. Lots of native plants, lots of trees, and the spring selection of tomatoes and veggies is to die for. Yes, it's more expensive. Yes, worth it! And the added bonus is dogs are allowed.

I stopped by this shop just by chance. I was happy to see the huge selection and the lady that helped me knew right where everything going I asked for was. I'll definitely be back and I advise anyone who doesn't want to go to more then one store to get what they need to come here. Also not to metion sometimes you go to the other stores like on "stark" and the guy the u talk to acts as if u shouldn't be asking questions about anything else other then his fertalizer they make in house. So I was nice to talk Shop and pin point what I needed not what would make them money. Thanks read more

It took me far too long to visit this delightful women-owned shoppe, but now that I have I will add it to my shortlist of Portland favorites. First off, the owners couldn't have picked a more appropriate setting for a plant shoppe. With a classic storefront with window displays on both sides of the entrance, the store takes on a nostalgic vibe of tradesperson shops of yesteryear. I love knowing I'm shopping small, locally owned businesses that make our communities vibrant and diverse. Now let's get to the plants... that's the reason we're here! There's quite a diverse selection of houseplants in such a small space... indeed, something for everyone. If you need to pop in quickly for a "Get Well" card and a miniature pot of African Violets, they've got it. If specialty plants are more your thing, you'll find everything from the sought after Monstera cultivars, cacti and succulents, to Anthurium and Begonias. In fact, given their regular delivery schedule, it sounds like they can special order pretty much anything you might need. I spent 15 minutes or so getting to know Kailia, one of the owners who is also a registered horticultural therapist. She's very friendly, knowledgeable, and a delightful addition to the neighborhood. She made a clumsy oaf like me feel extremely at ease in her adorable shoppe. Be sure to check out their very informative website, LarkspurPortland.com for lots of valuable resources, information on Horticultural Therapy, and a pretty good impression of the types of plants the have in stock.
