The moment he walked in the employee stated that ' '' I think you are in the wrong barbershop because the spot Barbershop was too expensive For you." with a straight face. However, today i found myself with a little bit of time, and I have been researching barbers in my area. Jimmy's came up on the list and since I was in the Gables area with a good friend, I haven't seen in a while, I decided to stop off at Jimmy's Barber and get my haircut. The gentleman that cut my hair was named Mario and he was a very friendly gentleman. Mario did a phenomenal job cutting my hair; he has excellent scissor skills and is very thorough. My wife says my hair looks amazing and I will definitely be going back for more haircuts in the future, time permitting. Thank you Mario for the excellent haircut.

I started coming to The Spot Barbershop ever since the Yelp Guys Night Out event from last year. I…read moreactually work literally a block away and have visited this place even before the event just to check it out. First thing I love about this place is the décor. This is not your ordinary run of the mill barbershop. It's bright, modern and whimsical with a touch of nostalgic elements. As much as I love going to my old school barber for over a decade, I have to spoil myself sometimes and that's what The Spot provides the modern man. Now let's talk about the quality of the haircut. JP was highly recommended by my coworkers so he became my go-to stylist when I visit. Folks, it's all about consistency. Each time I get a cut from JP, it's the same. He is very detailed, precise and never cuts corners. He takes his time to make sure that I'm happy with my haircut and I truly am :) The problem now is having to balance between my current barber and JP but I have to be honest, I prefer getting my haircut here even though it costs almost double than what I pay normally. My haircut cost $30 plus tip at The Spot so some folks may think it's steep but to me, it's way worth it. Plus they have complimentary drinks so I get a couple of rounds of whiskey on the rocks and I'm good to go...LOL I'm a big fan of The Spot. The staff is nice, the shop is gorgeous and the barbers here super talented and use the best equipment. Besides haircuts, they also offer light masks, beard trimming and of course the traditional royal shaves. Soon this location will also offer men's manicure and pedicure as well which is great cause I can have all grooming done in one visit.
