Now Show Wencl... Called two weeks ago & scheduled to have…read morethem hook up kitchen sink drain line that involved a little re-configuring as the new countertops and undermounted sink were making for a lower drain line. 7:30 AM was the set time. At ten after eight, I called to confirm we had the day & time right. We did and receptionist said they were loading their trucks but we're on their way. At ten after ELEVEN., still nobody showed. Called again and told them to forget it, thinking if I had to go to these lengths just to get them to show up, what kind of end result was I going to have? Doing the work myself now.

We have used Wencl for over 15 years and, with a very old property, we were frequent customers…read more After being billed much more for a small project than we thought was warranted, we tried to contact Wencl to resolve the issue. While those that answered the phones were professional, we were continually told someone would get back to us. That never happened. We continued to call as we continued to receive bills and still no calls back. We finally got a collection notice and tried one last time to contact them, but again got no call back so we ended up just paying our oversized bill. We're not sure if they are lazy or cowards that don't want to discuss this, but it seems like a bad business model to ignore your long-term customers. We will no longer be using Wencl nor will we be recommending in the future.

The work passed the building inspection, but he didn't install the shut off valves and the drain was in the wrong location. When I notified him of the problem, he became argumentative and condescending. He offered no attempt to make it right, and more over refused to admit he made a mistake even after I sent him a picture with a tape measure showing the error. I'm no professional but I do know you can't argue with a tape measure and win. I was very disappointed in his behavior and expected much better customer service from a small business owner.

The first person that came out was great, he had actually inspected the home before we bought it and was aware of the issue. The second person who was scheduled was over an hour late to the end time of his service window. There was no call to inform that the technician was going to be late. When he arrived he let us know he wat stuck at a well-job. I lead him down to the basement and when I turned around I saw he was standing in the entry to the bathroom, brand new carpet, boots still on. The white carpet was immediately stained. I asked him if the job would be over 30 minutes, because we only had a limited window before childcare pickup. He said he would not be able to complete in 30 minutes and I said we would have to reschedule. The second service request, the technician simply glued the fitting, the first tech said they would need to bore the pipe out because the wrong one was used. If the fix was to simple apply copious amounts of glue and silicone, I could have done that myself. When I called I talk about this $192.50 invoice for stained carpet and gobs of glue, a wasted trip for us, I was informed that his 1 hour and 45 minute trip duration includes his travel time from his last job. We were never informed that we would need to pay for his travel time from he previous job, if this was something made known, we would never have signed up for a visit from this company. I have absolutely no control over how far away his pervious job was. To top it all, I never had a chance to sign a completed work order before he left. If you want late technicians with no communication, disregard for your home, and a shady billing practice, then Faribo Plumbing is for you!
